Read The Lady Sophia, a Hetalia fanfiction featuring the pairing of Austria and Hungary in a fictional medieval setting, as humans. Austria is faced with the need to grow stronger whilst Hungary must learn to become vulnerable. Poor Roderich feels forced by circumstances to pretend to be a lady as a disguise. Luckily he is helped by a handsome vagabond

Before he'd been set out on this journey against his will and was made into a maiden, Roderich had been told some information about his disguise. Mainly he was not to speak at all, but his name was Annelise, in honor of his grandmother, but also Sophie because this is what his mother would've wanted if she had had a girl instead of him.

The stranger stayed silent for the while it took for the lady to calm herself. He stayed by her side patiently until her breathing had slowed, her tears had vanished and her hair was out of her face
"I'm sorry about your dress, my lady. It looks expensive.", he finally spoke to her again and she scoffed in response.
"What do you want from me?"
"I heard screams and came to save you."
"You don't know me.", she turned her face away.
"Especially then I shall help."

"I can't pay you.", she said, embarrassed and clutching her instrument, "There is nothing else on me that I'm willing to give to you for this service."
"On my honor.", László said as he took a knee, "I'm not a man bound by time or place. I can afford to do a good deed."
Roderich backed up in surprise when the gentleman kneeled before him. He'd met men of this behavior before. It evoked in him a feeling of too good to be true.
"Please.", he ushered him to stand up again, "I have no other choice but to accept your help."
