"Omg thats incredible! I wish I was as creative as you!"
The first thing I ever sewed was a pouch at age 7. It was a rectangle of fabric folded in half and somehow it still turned out terrible. You dont want my creativity, you want the 41 years of failure after failure that got me to this exact moment.

if youre able, can you show your process of making a cosplay? your cosplays are so clean and im so curious how you go about making them, especially with the riddle cosplay its so fucking good
Thank you so much! No one has asked me this before! I should've been documenting more of my process with Riddle but I got scared from how confused I was, but I've already been planning to document more of my next cosplay which will be 1998 Vash! I opened up my Riddle outfit and can explain a little bit of my process below for anyone who may be interested:
So for starters I never make an entire garment out of scratch 😳 I thrifted a plain white blazer and white skinny jeans. The blazer was collarless, which actually helped me a lot when mapping out the heart shaped lapels. I looked at a reference pic of Riddle and folded and pinned printer paper to my body while wearing the jacket. For reference, with and without:
For the golden piping I used this gold bias tape and watched this Youtube video for reference. Reversed the process on the other side so it can be opposing.
I cropped the sleeves and cosmetically sewed on the contrast hems of the sleeves.
The jacket originally came with only 1 button enclosure, so I faked the rest of the buttons. Since the jacket couldn't actually close, I hid these closers (idk what they're called) on the inside for a tighter fit:
The jacket still wasn't as tight as I wanted it to be, so I actually made this little corset detail in the back that no one could even see anyways because it was covered by the cape :p Screenshot from a vid
For the cape itself, I ordered a "Dracula" cape from Aliexpress. Unfortunately it didn't have the white collar and had a hood instead, so I cut off the hood and used the rest of the white fabric from the blazer's sleeves as the collar.
For the bustle of the jacket, I was running out of red fabric and I actually did not know how to do this part 😅 So idk if you can notice, but it is haphazardly draped and attached under the jacket and prayed it would work lol (I'm hoping to redo this part before I wear it again in the future).
I had to take some creative liberties at this point because I knew it wasn't going to be 100% canon, and I was missing materials for the yellow bits. So I ordered the Heartslabyul embroidered patch from Etsy, and went crazy on the iron on card suit symbol patches at my local fashion district. I had golden rope and made some braids with some gold keys I found and used them for the dangly bits. This is where I could have a little bit of fun of DIY:
For the boots, I had faux leather thigh high socks that I hadn't worn before. Using the same technique as the paper pattern and bias tape, I cut out hearts and diamonds for the boots and sewed on those red and gold heart patches. For illusion, I thrifted faux leather oxford shoes.
I procrastinated the cross tie and the ribbon that closes the cape up until the LAST night. The cross tie is the 2 contrasting color fabrics with another secret "closer" button in the middle, and a heart patch on top. The ribbon that closes the cape is a "sheath." As you can see it has a shoe lace type of closure, so I just tied it to how tight it was going to be and sewed the cape shut. So that's how I ended up with this!
Sewing a Hero’s Tunic | How to Make a Fantasy Neckline for DnD & RPG Costumes
Every hero needs a tunic that fits even in battle! This time, we’re crafting a neckline worthy of a true adventurer. Roll me a like and follow for a possible critical success with the algorithm!
PS: English isn’t my native language, but I see it as an adventure – just like DnD! I’ll get better over time, so you’re basically watching me ‘level up’ in real time.
