Saw someone argue that they didn’t like Mcvadi because Victoria should be in the club and not a stepmom. Totally valid not to like a ship but like…being in a relationship with someone doesn’t instantly slot you into the nuclear family dynamic I fear.

I don’t think Victoria would ever see herself as a step mom to Harrison nor do I think Harrison would see her as such. Sure Vic might pick him up from school on occasion, make dinner, help with homework. That doesn’t make her another parental figure in either of their eyes. They’re buds. If anything Vic is like his cool tik tok famous big sister or aunt. She just also happens to sleep in the same bed as his mom.

Vic never tries to impose her will or discipline Harrison, though she will sit with him and tell him when he’s being unfair to Cassie and explain why she’s imposing the rules that she is. But she always empathizes with him and lets him say his piece.

It doesn’t strike him as weird when his mom comes up behind Victoria making dinner on the stove and gives her a kiss. He might tease them a bit about it, but it’s just not a big deal.
