Free Coke if you dance with the machine.
This awesome vending machines will hook you up with a bottle of Coca Cola if you dance with it. Starts out pretty mellow and in typical Asian fashion, next level dancing ensues. Pretty dope marketing.

MONDAY WAKE UP CALL: "MY ACTIVATOR" - 100s
I don't know much about this Berkley native rapper but I am diggin' what I hear. 100s debut album Ice Cold Perm (download here) throws down a Doggfather inspired album cover and sick lyrical mastery complimenting beats produced by Ryan Hemsworth. Gotta love Seattle radio stations. Enjoy.

BAD BITCH OF THE WEEK: KATE MARSHALL
Annnnnnnd we're back. Welcome to another, much overdue edition of Bad Bitch of the Week! Sorry for the hiatus, but this whole movin' thing and not havin' full time access to the internet thing makes it hard to run shit. NO SWEAT. All though we're at the tail end of summer, our Bad Bitches still manage to keep things REAL heated. Let me introduce to you Kate Marshall, a friend from college and now poster girl for the BC Angels of the Lingere Football League. Yeah boys, you heard it.
Ms. Marshall is #17 for the BC Angels in the LFL and plays Cornerback and Wide Receiver. She currently leads the team and league on defense in tackles and sacks. God damn it woman. For those of you who haven't heard of the LFL, it has been the ultiman fan-driven sport since its inception in 2008. The sport blends action, high impact collisions and of course, beauty (if that wasn't obvious already).
Kate is what some might consider as an alpha female. She has spent almost her entire life dedicated to athletics, having been involved with sports such as rugby, basketball, volleyball, soccer, ice skating and flag football. Her list of accomplishments are pretty damn impressive, some including claimin' the BC High School Girls Rugby Provincial Champs title in 2006 as captain of her team and winnin' the LFL season opener in late August. I don't know whether or not I'm suppose to be really attracted to her or be intimidated by her natural aptitude for steam rollin' mother fuckers. Either way, still hot.
Kate has taken some time outta her hectic schedule to do a short interview with us, discussin' her lead up to the LFL and the overall initiative with its expansion into Canada.
Q: When did you hear first about the LFL and its expansion into Canada and how did you come about joinin' the squad?
I heard about the expansion in September of 2011. One of my friends sent me an email when I was on vacation titled “YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!” I was aware of the LFL in the US for a while and always intrigued by the concept. Once the word was out about a team coming to Vancouver I continuously followed up with articles, posts, blogs, etc. until I found exact details for tryouts. I hit up the first tryout and made it through, same with the second set of tryouts and of course I’ve been an Angel ever since. Q: You've been a key promotional figure for the BC Angels, having been on the frontpage of The Province and such, how did your role grow as the team was being put together?
That front cover was so hilarious first of all. I was contacting all the papers trying to get more information on tryouts and everything seemed so hush-hush. The Province contacted me asking if I would help them do an article to try and get the chatter going about the league and that they “might run an article in a few days”. Next morning I wake up and BOOM, front cover.
I think I’ve definitely done a bit to continue to promote the league in Canada. I love doing radio and TV and additionally love promoting my team and showcasing the work we put into this game. My goal continues to be bringing positivity and trying to increase the fan base in Canada. With the start-up of any new league, especially one with so many critics, there is a lot of work that goes into turning skeptics into believers and my role has been continuously supporting my team, coaches and the league in Canada. Q: What compelled you to join the team? Obviously the LFL leaves impressions that come at many angles (possibly selling sex appeal, etc) , what made you want to be apart of this?
What DIDN’T compel me to join the team?! For anyone who has ever played a sport at a fairly highly competitive level, the drive and passion to play at that high level NEVER leaves your soul. You are wired to seek playing on a level where everyone will do anything and everything to come out of the game with that W. I’m not exaggerating when I say blood, sweat and tears have gone into this team and the games we have played to date. Girls have broken noses, torn ACL’s, popped knees…. And the thing is they are ALL coming back to play. Their goal is to heal as quick as they can so they can get back on the field.
The LFL leaves positive impressions on those that are fans of football. After our first game, the number of people who were blown away by our level of skill was amazing. The LFL leaves negative impressions on those who are highly judgmental. I’m all for opinions and I’m here to be judged to some degree but I’ll only humor those judgments that come from those who have taken the time to watch a game or talk to a player.
The judgments really come from the uniform as well. To me, it’s a bad-ass uniform that I wear with pride and when I put it on I turn beast mode on the other team. How many women have you heard say, “I only watch the NFL because I get to see men with tight pants” or , “I love when soccer players score goals because they take their shirts off” OR MEN, “I love when beach volleyball players jump for the ball.”
PUH-LEASE! It’s time to rest the case of the uniforms. That’s old news. Sex appeal is all around us and never going to die.
Just to sum up why I wanted to be apart of this: There is a difference in playing beer-league soccer or baseball to full tackle football. I don’t think I need to say much more.
Q: What was it like on opening game of the season? What was the atmosphere like?
I just got goose bumps reading that sentence! Not sure if I can put into words that feeling. That opening game wasn’t just for the season but for the entire LFL Canada league. I’ve never felt more pressure in my life but at the same time an exhilarated fear that didn’t leave my body until the next day. Playing in front of your closest friends and family let alone the 3,000 other people was an epic point in all our lives. That day we proved what LFL Canada is all about, and did a damn good job at it.
Our next home game is September 29th against Toronto. You best believe BC is in for a treat!

Happy fuckin' Thursday. Today we're dedicating Throwback Thursdays to some old school glow stick, invisible box makin' with your hands type shit.
