i would genuinely kill. a person to see what kind of art etho has saved in the fanart folder he mentioned just 10 minutes of browsing please i want to analyze his brain what kind of fanart would he want to look back at later? these are questions that constantly plague my mind
he's a subfolder kind of guy to me
remember in secret life when scott had the task to say ‘i love you’ to 3 people and he had to get 3 ‘i love yous’ back, and scott is like it wasnt really an issue for me as most would see that as a normal/not out-of-pocket thing for me to do, and then mumbos like imagine if etho got that task how funny and strange it would be 😭 AND THEN ETHO SHOWS UP AT THE SECRET KEEPER WITH THEM AND GRIAN SAYS “i love you etho” and all etho replies with is “thank you?” and then says “if you were expecting a return, its not happening” 💀💀 and then cleo pipes in after saying “you’re not bdubs you cant get that back” to grian 😭
AND WHENEVER I REMEMBER THAT CLIP ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS WHEN ETHO GOT OUT IN LAST LIFE AND AT THE END HES LIKE “didn’t win it for bdubs, but he didn’t win it for me either” then he chuckles and goes “just kidding bdubs i love you” 😭😭😭😭😭😭 genuinely sick to my stomach at this.
the fact that there are probably so many more intervals of etho saying ‘i love you’ to bdubs but i can’t think of anymore right now 💔

UPDATE I'VE DONE TESTING AND I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT :D (edit I was wrong here!! it's a mod/toggle!!)
So what I'm pretty sure grian has is *something* (eg pumpkin) that has the texture of BOTH a non enchanted netherite helmet and his cool eyes.
He has then enchanted that eg pumpkin and so swapping between a regular enchanted netherite helmet and his helmet+eyes gives the effect without anything noticeable being put on his head
also I went into Minecraft and checked, yep enchantment glint carries over no matter what headgear you switch to (linked here cause tumblr doesn't like videos in reblogs)
in his next vid hes gonna do it without the helmet and screw this all over

This website can be used to find links to old privated animatics if they were in a playlist.
Which can then be plugged into this website that searches online archives for saved copies. After using this site briefly I already found a copy of a video that was previously privated on youtube.
I'm a bit dubious of online youtube archive sites, but I'm linking this one as an option. Making archiving more accessible is a good thing. Feel free to add animatics to this linked site. 👍

It will automatically save pages you visit, including youtube urls. Videos saved to the wayback machine, their urls recovered from playlists, has facilitated recovery of Dream SMP media, including animatics. This one by Vellicholy that I recovered was one of these.

ethubs meeting up at the edge of some group event where etho is there to talk to bduds without anyone else knowing and bdubs is riding on the high of social interaction with the other hermits having gone well. meanwhile etho is awkward and shy and hides his smile behind his hand when he laughs and doesn't meet bdubs' eyes when bdubs teases him and keeps fidgeting with the hem of his jacket that seems slightly stiff on his shoulders.
and then he shifts and seems to straighten up a bit and bdubs knows something is coming now but it's just etho making some tease about bdubs' latest build and something in bdubs crumbles because he was expecting some tease about them being together in person, maybe something hinting about getting out of the noisy cafe they're in to a more private location, with how etho seemed to have to put effort into even saying it out loud. but something also crumbles at how much effort etho is making for him and how he seems to tough out this uncomfortable situation just for bdubs and he came all this way just for bdubs, he doesn't even want to meet the other hermits, and he does smile when bdubs laughs and bdubs never thought he'd get to see that in his life. and it almost crumbles his restraint, almost makes him reach out and put a hand on etho's knee to reassure him, almost makes him lean forward and lift etho's chin so etho looks at him instead of the floor. everything in bdubs burns to use this once in a lifetime opportunity, to touch etho now that he's within touching distance, to kiss him until his shoulders relax and he understands how much bdubs loves him

for the way he looks at him above the hand that hides his smile when bdubs teases him in their usual way and there's that spark in his eyes.
he wants to drag him into the bathroom and get a hand down his pants and make him feel good, wants to hear him whine in person instead of filtered through headphones and make him rut against his hand and have his tall body lean against bdubs, have his head fall onto bdubs shoulder as he tenses under bdubs' hand when he finds the right way to touch him, figures out yet another detail about him, coaxes the information of what he likes out of him without ever asking directly, without spooking him by being too forward.
he wants to feel him stiffen as bdubs brings him to completion way too quickly not to mean anything and wants to press a kiss to his blushing forehead before they separate and wants to laugh together when bdubs washes his hands and etho attempts to clean up the mess in his pants with stupid scratchy paper hand towels. he wants to put a hand on the small of etho's back that isn't small at all as they leave the bathroom together and wants to walk him to the hotel and learn more about him, learn everything etho lets him, take what he can before etho disappears again, before his face and his body and his touch is once again hidden from bdubs behind layers of screens and friendly ribbing and they never mention it

wait im deeply charmed by the idea of bdubs being an out and proud bisexual man for a decade and then etho comes out as a woman and bdubs then has to come to terms with the fact that he really is actually straight. etho's like well you still like men don't you and bdubs looks at her with tears in his eyes like you don't understand all this time the only guy i liked was YOU etho im a FRAUD
bdubs says etho i was really looking forward to being an old queen with you. etho's like we can still be old queens together. bdubs just looks out the window and sighs miserably and says. you can't be a queen if you're straight. it's not the same.
