Preserving female and WLW media like my life depends on it since there is a huge attack on it right now. They canโt take away what we already had. I wonโt let them.
If itโs Xena, South Of Nowhere, Wynonna Earp or She-Ra I have you covered. She-Ra isnโt my upload though.
Xena Warrior Princess - Google Drive
South Of Nowhere - Google Drive
Wynonna Earp - Google Drive
She-Ra and the Princess of Power - Google Drive
I will be uploading Buffy and Charmed too eventually once I bump my Google Drive storage space up to 5TB but those two can usually be found everywhere so itโs not that much of an issue that theyโre not uploaded yet.
If itโs female or WLW representation, I care about it. However, itโs usually just action/adventure, fantasy and supernatural I watch for myself. South Of Nowhere is an outlier just because itโs so god damn well written/acted and the WLW ship/couple in it are the lead characters.
I will not let ANY female and WLW media fall off into obscurity. We deserve to be represented too and there are legions of us (new and old generation) who need it.
So letโs talk about it. Ten years ago I was on the frontlines with many other queers watching in utter horror as our favorite new icon was murdered. Lexa was a fictional character, but she symbolized so much more. There wasnโt nearly as much sapphic representation on tv, let alone on such a widely accessible channel, ten years ago as there is now. We were already starved for it. Weโd been gifted an amazing character. A badass, young, female warrior who grown ass men respected and followed without question, who lead her people with sensibility and compassion. And then we were given enemies to lovers. The conflicted, complex, emotional roller coaster that was Clarke and Lexa. Two powerhouses who didnโt fall in love easily, they had to fight for it. No wonder Clexa was so iconic.
But we were also skeptical. We shouted loudly โWeโve seen this before!โ โWeโre afraid sheโs going to be killed!โ โWe donโt want another victim of โbury your gays!โโ
And we were promised Lexa would live.
We were lied to.
The network showed clips of the season finale with Lexa in it, to lure us into a false sense of security. Then that night, March 3, 2016, they gave us the Clexa sex scene, they gave us happy Clexa, they told us she would be fine, then they shot her on screen and we all watched our icon die.
I was 24 years old, a lesbian yearning for any on screen representation, and finally finding an incredible source. I cried for weeks. It hurt for years. I genuinely grieve this fictional character. Iโm still not over the injustice, I just live with it deep in my heart. Lexa is part of me now. I havenโt had interest in any sapphic shows since. Iโd been raised on Tara Maclay, and witness to Lexa. Iโve mistrusted tv writers ever since because I donโt want to get my heart broken again.
I never watched a single episode of The 100 after 3x07. Iโve seen clips of Lexaโs appearances and mentions. I know the significance of the series finale. The only thing I can say is Thank You to Alycia who chose her finale appearance with grace and understanding of the impact Lexa had. She was not going to let them use Lexa to hurt us again.
This is why Lexa is so deeply important to me. She is my icon. She is a symbol of the pain and injustice we suffer in the LGBT community. She is a warrior and a leader. She is my Heda.
Hey, listen, I know that you and Supergirl, you don't always see eye to eye on everything, but it means a tremendous amount to us, to me, that you're always here when we need you the most.
Kara knows Lean is gay. She also knows that CatCoโs annual pride issue is coming up, yet she doesnโt put the two together until she walks onto the set of the featured persons photo shoot, and finds herself utterly flummoxed at the sight of Lena draped over a wingback chair with one long leg slung over one padded arm and an elbow propped atop the other.
The photographer calls out directions over the general buzz of the set, and though Lenaโs features donโt react, her chin makes a subtle adjustment, cueing a flurry of shutter snaps as green eyes gaze intensely into the lens of the camera.
Karaโs mouth goes dry, and she stares as Lena now moves to plant both feet on the floor and leans forward with her elbows on her knees, letting the already plunging neckline of her blouse gape just that much more.
After another round of focused snapshots, the photographer straightens and ejects her memory card. โAll right,โ she calls, โnow everyone!โ
As the photographerโSamantha Arias, if Kara remembers correctlyโswaps memory cards, six other figures stride onto the set. Kara recognizes several on sight: male model and outspoken bisexual influencer Jack Spheer, looking dapper in a paisley suit; actor Andrea Rojas in a floral dress that swirls around her impossibly long legs; and finally, heiress and philanthropist Rhea Elle, elegant in a slinky gown of black velvet. Popular trans and environmental activist Nia Nal is the last to bop into frame, her smile wide as she crosses to chair that remains the focal point of the shoot.
Lena moves to rise, but Miss Arias calls for her to remain where she is. In response, Lena settles back in, reclining effortlessly in the seat, her slouch somehow sensual and authoritative in equal measure. The PA assigned to the shoot swiftly arranges the others around Lenaโs throne, and Kara suddenly isnโt sure who she envies more: Nia, who settles on the ground at the foot of the chair, leaning against Lenaโs thigh; or Rhea, who takes up position at Lenaโs shoulder, leaning against the left wing of the chair.
Nia, she thinks, when the girl drapes her arms over Lenaโs knees and pillows her head on them. But then Rhea rests her long fingers on Lenaโs hair, and Lena leans into the touch, her head tilting so artfully that Miss Arias nearly crows with delight.
โThatโs it, stay right there!โ
Kara lingers, staring, until the shoot wraps and Miss Arias releases her models with a cheerful and triumphant grin. So dismissed, the group remains on set for a good while, clumping into several conversations under the lights. Kara wills Lena to look away from Rheaโs face, wishing she would instead peer past the blinding lights to see Kara standing there. But instead she watches as Rhea places a hand on Lenaโs arm, then lets it drift down past Lenaโs elbow so that their fingers catch.
Lenaโs grin broadens, soon momentarily hidden when she leans in to kiss Rhea on both cheeks.
โIโll be in touch,โ Kara hears Lena say, before drifting towards the dressing area. Before Kara can even think to join her there, both Nia and Jack swiftly converge on Lena, initiating an intense selfie session between the three of them.
Karaโs jealousy soon latches on a new target when Jack pulls Lena into a full body hug, and Lena tilts her chin up to receive the kiss that Jack presses to her forehead. The exchange is so effortless that it could only be described as intimate, and Karaโs envy suddenly tempers into steel.
Without thinking, Kara marches towards them and announces herself with a rough clearing of her throat. โExcuse me,โ Kara says a little too loudly. โSorry to interrupt, butโMiss Grant would like to see you, Miss Luthor.โ She pauses. โNow.โ
Lena gazes at her for a cool moment, then disengages from Jack with an easy smile. โGo on,โ she urges. โIโll catch up with you later.โ
Lena obligingly follows Karaโs brisk walk from the room, and remains silent as they awkwardly wait for the elevator to come collect them. Well, Lena does appear to find the silence awkward. Only Kara, who finally comes to her senses and remembers that Cat had left the building an hour ago.
Still, she steps into the elevator when the doors open, and Lena follows her inside. Shoulders nearly touching, they watch the floor numbers change with what feels to Kara like agonizing slowness.
โSoโฆโ Lena finally says, her voice low enough to rumble. โWhat was your plan, exactly?โ
โI donโt know what you mean,โ Kara says, fighting panic even as her cheeks flush. โMiss Grantโ"
โCame to say hello before the shoot, since she would be at an off-site meeting by the time we finished.โ
Busted.
Kara gapes like a fish, unable to recover. Lena eyes her, studyingly. Finally, an elegant shoulder lifts in shrug. โNot that I mind,โ she says simply. โI meant it when I said I looked forward to seeing you again.โ
Hope flares in Karaโs chest for a painful moment before crashing into pieces. โIโm sure Mr. Spheer wouldnโt appreciate that.โ
At that, for the first time, Lena seems taken aback. โJack? On the contraryโheโs positively delighted.โ
Confusion floods through Kara, casting her adrift as she struggles to make sense Lenaโs words. Her stymie furrows Lenaโs brow for a brief moment, before realization seems to hit. A bark of laughter pops out of Lena, the sound sharp in the close confines of the elevator before rolling into a round of laughter that brings fresh color to Karaโs cheeks.
โOh darlingโฆโ Lena says, when her mirth fades to a chuckle, โJacky is the absolute best friend I could ask for, but we were fantastically horrendous as a couple.โ
Just like that, Karaโs temper cools. Suddenly feeling incredibly small, she looks at her feet, shuffling awkwardly in place. โReally?โ
โWhy Miss Danvers,โ Lena purrs. โIs it possible you wereโฆ jealous?โ
The thought of denying it flashes briefly across Karaโs thoughts, but was swiftly followed by the knowledge that she was doing a terrible job at hiding literally anything from the woman now gazing at her intently.
Finally, Kara lifts her chin in a petulant tilt. โAnd if I was?โ
A devilish smile smirks back her.
โWell thenโฆ Iโd say itโs time I asked you to dinner.โ
Lena hums. โAnd here I thought you were supposed to be savingย me,ย tonight.โ
Kara blinks up from the food to Lenaโs chestโoopsโbefore meeting Lenaโs eyes.ย โSaveย you?โ she says. โHaha. What. Like,ย uh,ย like Supergirl? Or whatever?โ
โNo, silly,โ Lena says, smiling so fondly at her that it makes Kara a little lightheaded. โAs my bodyguard, of course.โ
โOh right! Thatโs me!โ Kara grins, puffing out her chest and clicking her heels and keeping her eyeline firmly above Lenaโs shoulders. โAt your service, maโam. Ready to guard yourโum.โ She halts. โYourโฆ body,โ she finishes, flinching.

In which Supergirl attends a fancy party in D.C. to stop a mysterious assassin, and wow, would you look at that? Lena Luthor is there too! What a complete and utter coincidence!
