So with a flare up comes a bunch of side effects, there’s the excruciating pain that cripples you, the tenderness of practically every inch of your body, the sickness from the pain, the headaches, the bloating and so on! During my bad weeks I tend to put on a lot of weight but I actually managed to lose in class today and even though it was little it still meant a lot, and today I was able to do things for longer than previous days before the pain got too much - I always remind myself to celebrate the tiny victories because otherwise negativity succumbs you, something as small as losing half a pound when you were expecting a gain or being able to move for five minutes longer, they’re all worth celebrating 👌
For those who need a brief understanding of what endo actually is!

So early hours of Tuesday  woke up in intense pain, cue the tears, the belly pushing, the rocking back and forth, to popping whatever pain relief we had in the draw! A couple tramadols later and nothing. After my diagnosis in April after having a laparoscopy with a diathermy, the symptoms seem to just be getting worse. No medication from the doctor or over the counter seems to be helping. To the extent that my daily life is really badly being affected. I’m studying a masters, of which Tuesday I should have had a full days teaching with an assessment which goes towards my overall grade, within 10 minutes of being in my lecture I’m throwing up because the pain is so bad. Getting sent home and not being able to do what you were supposed to is debilitating, embarrassing ans damn right upsetting. I will however say that it is the first time in a long time I’ve had someone outside of my family/close friends actually show any sort of empathy and understanding, work get frustrated, others believe I’m making it up or playing it up and very few listen. A day later and I’m feeling a little better so here’s to feeling even better tomorrow!Â
