We need to find a way to make ourselves whole again.
Love is all there is to reconnect our broken pieces.
You are magnificent. Your existence is the most spectacular of all phenomena.
I would ponder where I've been all of my life, and where I've been from, but first I must ask: where am I now that I am here?
I have been away for so long that I have forgotten where I've been away from. I have always been here, yet it is as though this is the first time that I have actually, consciously been aware of where I am.
Attachment is really a simple thing to understand. If you attach yourself to something external, you have no control over that thing and therefore yourself. And if it goes away, you lose yourself.
Life itself is a metaphor.
Look deep through the part to see the whole.
When we stop seeing ourselves as separate parts from one another and realize that we are together nothing but the all encompassing universe itself, only then we can finally understand compassion, only then can we finally love, only then can we finally know our place our purpose our truth -- it is only when we see that there is no self that we can truly, selflessly, honestly, deeply know how to love (how to be).
If you're reading this then you're alive. Isn't that enough?
Air. Food. Water. Shelter. Maybe our basic needs are our only needs. Maybe we spend so much time with concern for security, so that we can always fulfill our needs. But we've become so focused on the future we forget that our needs are fulfilled in the present, right now.
Deep in the Souls of Autism is set out to be a profound film, I’ve met with some of the people involved and the messages in the film are incredibly deep — reblog to show your support for the autism community!
This film seems ablist to me. Man, would it kill the youtuber to use identity-first language.
clevergal10 One of the youtubers here, thanks for your comment! A few things- On the language: Joey (the man with the keyboard) actually requested phrasing 'individuals with autism' instead of 'autistic individuals,' so that's what we went with. Also, the stories and messages in the film aren't mine or the filmmakers' but are the messages of people like Joey, so I don't believe they're ablist as we are simply putting their words in a moving picture so that others can hear them. We are making every effort to make the film their message, not ours. Any critiques are welcome, feel free to send me a private message any time, I'd love to talk to you more in detail about your thoughts and I can even get you in touch with the director if you have any serious concerns or input on how you think a project like this should be presented.

It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.

What is left once we shed our delusions and falsehoods? Do you truly know what you are without your mask?
Pain breeds wisdom. The troubled are the wise.
