So, I guess it's my time to put the first post here. Let myself be polite to people😅
Hi from Kyiv, Ukraine🇺🇦
Слава Україні! Героям Слава!🙏

I am gonna stick here for a wile , 'cause I found Tumbler an interesting place, where I might find some way to follow my fandomes and smth like that. Take me as new here(. My native is ukrainian language (obviously), but I'll try my best here. Good opportunity for writing training, ha?))
I might will post some shit 'bout myself... A little. Mostly gonna reblog some cute and interesting shit by dif fandomes)). For starter 🤗 like I said, I am new))
I feel open to some adequate chit chats. I can appear as some nerd.. I gess, but you gotta cheak it out yourself🤭💚
We need to talk about the fact that thanks to the Vees, both Angel and Husk now live with the fact that they put their hands on someone they loved, on the same scene too.
Angel straight out said strangling Cherri was the last straw to make him return to the Evil Rape Building, and Husk had never looked so sad (so far lmao) like the frame after he hit Angel. And it's interesting because it makes the point of autonomy- Angel, like Cherri, was a victim. He was robbed of his bodily and cognitive autonomy and hurt Cherri, which ultimately forced Husk's hand...literally. And just- look at this shit bro:
It creates this interesting parallel because....well, unlike Angel he did that shit fully conscious lmao obviously he had no other option that didn't involve force of some kind, but I am sure Husk didn't care about that, especially not in retrospect with Angel now gone and being abused even more. Angel suffered because he is too scared of what the Vees can do with his lobotomized shell, Husk suffered because he had to hurt that shell.
@justanotherloserbaby I am so sorry but your tags are killing me because of the difference in tone I feel there-
"Angie don't be silly, it's ok. I would still love if you were a worm 🥺🥺🥺" and then the scene comically cuts to her just grabbing Husk's by the tail and going "Yo cunt he was fuckin' killing me, the fuck were you supposed to do, reprise your song???"
(Reposting this from bluesky because I love overanalyzing fictional characters for the sake of my own headcanons.)
Finally making my big ol post about Angel’s eating disorder, Val’s enabling, and weight gain as recovery for my sweet spider boy ❤️
This is mostly headcanons based off canon/semi-canon stuff
TW for EDs and Valangel-typical stuff
So most of my ideas around Angel revolve around him having some kind of restrictive disorder that’s a direct result of the loss of control from his contract. It’s not about the actual weight in his eyes (although that’s a part too, I’ll get into that later), it’s more about him any control over his body that he can get.
In Val’s eyes, controlling Angel’s weight is entirely about appearance. He needs Angel to look as physically attractive as possible. This is heavily hinted at in old voxtagram posts, the weight watchers one obviously, but also Val refusing to get Angel food, and Husk getting it for him.
(Also kinda unrelated but Vox threatening Val with the same thing he does to Angel. Love a pattern.)
A previous post I made on it:
Moving into to the show itself, we have the obvious example: his three cigarettes for lunch line, where he tries to play it off as lighthearted. We have his line about trying to break himself enough so that Val will let him go, self destruction is a big part of Angel’s coping.
I also want to bring up Angel’s love of popsicles (I KNOW it’s just there a dick joke but bear with me here), because flavored ice is very low calorie but also it’s at least consuming *something*. No wonder he likes them, they’re a sweet treat that Val won’t get mad about.
And with Angel’s drug use and drinking, it’s easy to forget you’re hungry if you can’t think to begin with, and I can’t imagine he’s up for food when he’s hungover or coming down from a high.
Then, we have Angel’s physical appearance. This one’s a bit weird because animation is not super consistent and varies depending on angles and cartoon physics. However, Angel has considerably more curves in season 2 than at any point in season 1
And considering we know he was spending more time at the hotel by season 2 and actually participating in Charlie’s redemption exercises, it makes perfect sense that he was actually putting effort into taking care of himself. And then we see his art on the 2026 pride merch and he’s TINY again.
Most recently, we also had this little blurb from the bar book which also references Angel’s disordered eating habits.
Anyway, all of this to say, I hope this plays a part in Angel’s recovery journey. I hope he gets to keep his curvy little hips and thighs as physical proof of stopping his self destructive habits when he makes his way back to the hotel. I love seeing the old voxtagram posts (even though they’re not technically canon) of Husk and Cherri bringing him snacks and making sure he’s at least somewhat taking care of himself.
I may add to this later if I find other old lore stuff or when we get more seasons!
I was looking at some screenshots for another post, and I noticed a little detail that probably doesn't mean anything but I'm gonna talk about it anyway.
During this whole sequence, Angel looks at us, at "the camera", he just does what he has to do, and we as an audience see in the background how horrible it is for him.
But in the end, where the persona on stage and hurt Angel on the screen switch places, Angel on the screen sneaks a look at Angel with Valentino.
And then, continues dancing.
He knows he's in a shitty situation with Val, he's vulnerable with Val, and so he has to keep up the performance, he has to dance to prevent himself from getting hurt evenmore at Valentino's hands.
He looks only once, because actually thinking about his situation doesn't bring anything but nausea, but he knows. And that's why he keeps dancing
Seriously it was devastatingly hard to "art" myself up these days . And I know Husk has lost wings 🪽. And I know it's a ruffiest sketch in this side of city.
I love them . They love eachother. They have nicest, cozyest, fluffiest morning. Period 🌄
Freaky thing happened yeaterday. I've been having a hard time lately. My hours got cut at work. My bills are behind. Was at risk of being evicted after March. Might lose my food assistance. Tried talking to my boss last week to see if I can pick up anything at all. I go downstairs to make food last night. Listening to the Hazbin Hotel soundtracks while I cook. As I'm coming upstairs Losing Streak is playing. By chance I look to see if the schedule is posted. I click the link and I got my extra day. It's only an extra $80 but it saves my ass for the time being. I immediately burst into tears and start laughing. Because no way is that a coincidence. "You can't help fallin, going all in, though your odds are bleak, til you break your losing streak." Angel Dust really said "I got ya, toots!" 😭💕
I like Huskerdust most when the way Husk feels for Angel transforms Husk’s internal landscape
Not like “oh I can feel love again and therefore I’m fixed”
But like “holy shit this motherfucker is broken. Just look at him. What a disaster. We’re both messes, both made terrible choices, in a Hell of our own making…he still shines so bright. All that bullshit and he ain’t emptied out yet, huh? …fuck. Maybe I still got something inside me, too.”
Husk and Angel Dust as mirrors for one another. Where light strikes the surface and bounces back, where they see their flaws AND their strengths.
Angel’s not trying to change Husk’s life but his ongoing proximity is enough for Husk to see himself differently.
And it pisses Husk the fuck off because wow that’s some scary vulnerability to have but that’s another post
Finding Huskerdust in "Between Takes" by Keith David
So, the wonderful Keith David recently released a Jazz cover album called "Between Takes". Naturally Huskerdust will flood my brain, and I think quite a couple songs fit them really well. Specifically on Husk's developing feelings of Angel.
There are three songs I would like to highlight and it's perfect that they are all in order in the track list. It's like it's telling a little story. I'll only be mentioning some lyrics for each song, but the full lyrics all fit well!
Old Devil Moon
First, we have "Old Devil Moon". I like to think of this song as a way to put into words what Husk was feeling while watching Angel preform Losin' Streak. He was definitely starstruck.
There are some firsts we see from Husk in this moment. We get to see him blush and his voice sounding much higher than it is normally when he's not singing. We also see Husk starting to openly show some attraction to Angel when he stares at his chest fluff. We all saw that Husk!
Lyric Highlights
You and your glance make this romance
Too hot to handle
Stars in the night
Blazing their light
Can't hold a candle
To your razzle-dazzle
I mean come on does that not perfectly describe this scene. Angel never goes up to Husk in his performance, but he maintains a ton of eye contact. Angel knows he has Husk's attention and doesn't need to do anything else but look at him. He is sparkling like a star and is certainly looking hot! Husk can't even move he is so stunned by what he is seeing. I think razzle dazzle is such a fun way to describe Angel's look and performance. Husk had no chance to resist this honestly.
You've got me flyin' high and wide
On a magic carpet ride
Full of butterflies inside
I wanna cry, wanna croon
Wanna laugh like a loon
It's that old devil moon in your eyes
A lot of these lyrics just fit Husk too well. The flying, the mention of magic, the laughing. I think laughing like a loon is my favorite part. He laughs quite a bit in "Love in a bottle", but it's at his most sincere when it's about Angel. His laughs while drinking and gambling are indicators that he is having fun, but he is losing himself in the process. It's only a temporary happiness. His laughs after seeing Angel off are more relaxed and content.
He stews in the happiness for a bit and even puts down his glass. It's enough to satisfy him that he no longer is reaching for another round. He goes back to the hotel, because he gets more laughs and happiness from Angel then he could ever get sitting at the bar and gambling. Look at him, totally the face of someone who lost the ability to love. This spider has somehow wormed his way into his heart. He got this grumpy cat looking like this because of him. He is so smitten.
It's Probably Me
Next, we have "It's Probably Me". I feel this song can connect to what Husk is thinking about on his way back to the Hotel. He is reflecting on all that has happened between them.
We never find out what Husk was going to say to Angel at the hotel, (thanks a lot Vox!), but it seems like he made a realization on something. I believe while walking back, he is starting to think about how he actually feels about Angel. They are good friends by this point, but Losin' Streak definitely opened his eyes a bit to other emotions.
We know Husk claims he has lost the ability to love and of course we have the whole "Love in a Bottle" song. However, when Angel is just himself around him, it's clear he has grown to care for him more than he thought he could.
For the song itself, I think the lyrics convey this in a very Husk way. He is a softy, but he is blunt and probably had an "oh shit" moment when he realized what was happening with his feelings towards Angel.
Lyric Highlights
If the night turned cold and the stars looked down
And you hug yourself on the cold cold ground
You wake the morning in a stranger's coat
No one would you see
You ask yourself, who's watched for me
My only friend, who could it be
It's hard to say it, I hate to say it, but it's probably me
I mean come on this is basically describing the scene before Loser Baby. Angel literally does sit on the ground and hug himself. He feels hopeless and that the only path left to him is to survive until he ends up broken. He doesn't count on Husk to actually try and understand him.
When Husk sings and dance with him, it's the turning point of their relationship. It becomes a genuine connection starting as friends. Angel at this moment, just needs someone to be there and relate to. Husk was able to give that to him. Angel ends up returning the favor in the casino. Husk is now a reliable presence that is willing to be there to lift up Angel and believe he deserves redemption, even if Angel himself doesn't.
You're not the easiest person I ever got to know
but it's hard for us both to let our feelings show
Some would say I should let you go your way
You'll only make me cry
But if there's one guy, just one guy
Who'd lay down his life for you and die
I hate to say It
I hate to say it, but it's probably me
The first two lines really describe the beginning of their dynamic. Husk is at odds with Angel's "act" and just wants Angel to be real with him. Angel uses it as one of his ways to survive his harsh life and contract, but this causes them to clash and not connect on a deeper level.
Despite all that, Husk hangs on and finds a way to reach out to Angel once he understands more about the terrible situation he is in. It would have been easy for Husk to say fuck it and leave Angel alone, which he almost did before Vaggi convinced him. Once he saw how much Angel was struggling, he did the best he could to help. Husk won't admit it, but he has a kind heart.
"Lay down his life for you and die", applies to both of them. A good bit of their dynamic is saving the other when at their lowest or in danger. They both have the problem of willing to throw down their lives for each other. While admirable, it's an issue when both don't have self-worth. I mean Husk gets mad cause he thought Angel was going to die for him. Love yourself Husk please!
I think all of these lyrics paint a picture of all the past stuff Husk is thinking about and recontextualizing it. He is realizing that his feelings go deeper than he thought and maybe it's time to admit that.
Illusions
Finally, we have Illusions, the gut punch. This song is definitely how Husk is feeling about Angel's absence. He just had his eyes opened to how he feels about Angel and then all this terrible stuff happens. He worries about Angel not being at the hotel like he said and then has to see him clearly act weird on TV. When he finds him, he is in bad shape and sees first-hand what he goes through. Husk obviously has some idea what goes on with Angel but actually seeing him drugged and out of it is very different and difficult.
I think the worst part for him is being forced to punch Angel to snap him out of hypnosis. He clearly didn't want to hurt him in any way. He doesn't even really like when Cherri puts him in the sack at first. He wants to be gentle the whole way through. He finally gets some relief when Angel is safe and out of the tower, only to have his heart shattered when he leaves. The man is heartbroken.
Lyric Highlights
I've been searchin' all the corners of my room
Sweeping dust and memories beneath the carpet
That we purchased
Somewhere on some cool retreat,
somewhere in Africa somewhere
Beginning lyrics resemble Husk being back at the Hotel with all the memories of Angel. I wonder if sometimes he visits his old room, now feeling cold and empty. His only solace really is that he can hold fat nuggets, but that's only going to be a mild comfort. He walks around the hotel almost in a daze. Angel on the forefront of his mind. Forced to reminisce instead of making new memories. He has seen what the Vees do to him, and he knows Angel won't be treated well. He must feel powerless not being able to do anything. I'm sure if Angel asked, Husk would drop everything to break him out of V tower, but until then he can't force him back. All he can do is hold onto Cherri's words that he will return and wait. You can tell it's killing him.
I've been trying to catch my breath
From the illusion that I lost it
When you left me
Angel leaving is the saddest Husk has ever looked. He tries to hold Angel's hand softly, to get him to reconsider. His face is full of sadness and desperation. He pleads "come back" in almost a soft whisper. His ears and wings down. From here, he looks so small.
After a while we see him coping the best he can, but the pain has not faded. The recent official Valentines merch actually shows us a bit of how he is handling it. In the keychain design, unlike everyone else's heart, his is broken. In the card he is seen looking at his phone intensely, clearly waiting for a message from Angel. He tries to write funny love poems but ends up with the sincerest one
"Don't need love when it comes a bottle, but I still need you"
Angel leaving is when it fully hit Husk how much he needs him.
Oh boy what a heavy note to end on. I know they will get through it. They are just having a difficult time right now!
Definitely go give some love to Keith David and listen to the full album. It's his studio debut. Hazbin aside, it's just really good jazz music. My personal favorite is "Here's to Life". That made me a little emotional. I believe he has plans for physical versions. Hope those come out soon!
Many Ukrainians quote this very line from one of the works of Lesya Ukrainka — a great writer who holds an honorary place among Ukraine’s foremost literary figures.
Her portrait appears on Ukrainian currency, yuri shippers pair her with Olha Kobylianska (another writer who appears beside her in the fourth photograph), and the LGBT community as a whole uses her quotes for merchandise.
For many Ukrainians, she embodies strength and resilience no matter what — the ability to endure pain and sorrow without losing dignity, voice, or hope.
"Why do the Huskerdusts have to keep losing!" Because we're losers, baby. You gotta take the fluff with the angst. The angst is good. Its juicy. Its emotional. Husk is yearning. Eat that shit up, babes, run with it. Because once they're finally fucking canon it'll taste oh so much sweeter. Y'all are winning too just not in the way you expected.
Honestly, this is what I tell myself these days after reading specifically angsty fic or crying over art. We'll get through it. What we'll not is searching for the easiest ways!! ❤️🩹
cant tell rn if my take is similar to others' or not but imo Angel Dust comes across as sassy and guarded, but not genuinely mean-spirited usually??Ex. in s1 when they're watching his actions he specifically DOES go out of his way to look out for Niffty & does "good"
idk having been in fandom a long time, i feel like a lot of fans find good-hearted characters "boring" or "simplistic" but i always tend to like the characters that are trying to do good. and nobody HAS to find them interesting but I see Angel as fundamentally a sweet person and that's far from boring to me
of course it's fine when other people do characterize Angel a little differently than I do, it doesn't impact me but I think it's bc so many times I've been a fan of do-gooders and people seem to think they're "uncool" ergo I'm defensive of it as a legitimate interpretation of his character lol
Angel genuinely loves Cherri to bits, he cares about Husk and Niffty even when he hasn't known them that long. He can be guarded and fakey, a bit pushy in his sexpest persona, but he has very good reason to question people's intentions and put up a front. And, yeah, he rightfully gets angry at Charlie, but that doesn't contradict him being sweet at all
I've said this sometime in the past but i think the fact Angel doesn't try to lash out to make Husk and Cherri let him go "easier" at the end of s2 is revealing. He doesn't want to hurt them.
In fact. The thing that breaks his spirit most is not when he gets hurt, but when he's used to hurt the Hotel, EVEN after Charlie hurt him.
Angel wants to do good/be better honestly I think he's already mostly there (and Charlie does seem to agree- she fucks up bad when she pushes him because of Vox specifically, but I think her belief in him is genuine and I think her assessment of his character is correct). I do think his longing for redemption is, in part, to get away from Val but I also think he wants to be a good person at the end of the day. And i LOVE characters that strive for goodness.
"Imm'a man a' many jobs. One of 'em - bein' a woman"
LISTEN, I've spent enormous time on this paper collage piece. Still messy, still ain't how I'd wanted it be finished, but Jesus Christ I really wanna be proud for this one.
She's The Queen of my heart. And some day I'll complete the background. Right now I say HuskerDust week ain't finished untill I said so🥲🎀
Angel has always been very self conscious about his feet, but Husk shows him how much he absolutely adores them, which really helps Angel feel better about himself. When Angel finds out that Husk isn't insecure about a specific part of his body, but about his demon form as a whole, Angel's determined to show Husk how beautiful he really is, giving him the tender love he needs and deserves ♡
