Hi everyone! Rose here🌹 I decided to use this blog and tumblr in general to participate a little in the Hellaverse fandom. I have been a hellaverse fan since a little before the Hazbin pilot came out! I have been a fandom spectator for years so I'm pretty aware of it, I just never actually interacted with it personally before.
This is more of a self-indulgent thing for me as I have so many thoughts and feelings for Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. I have loved these shows for years and I want another space to be obsessed and have fun! Not sure how many will end up reading my thoughts but it's all in good fun, so if you are visiting, I hope you find some enjoyment in my ramblings. I'm very new to using Tumblr so bear with me as I figure things out!
#roseramblings for my longer posts
#rosechats for short thoughts
#rosearts for my art
♠️FUN FACT♦️
Despite my blog's look, my favorite character is Husk. Velvette just fits my personal aesthetic more, but she is also one of my top favorites!
Little ramble based on the new Helluva Boss clip! Specifically, about why Stolas is still having fantasies about Blitz!
Spoilers On New Clip Below!
I think it's an interesting potential look into Stolas' complex and even messy feelings of the current situation. He would save Bltiz again in a heartbeat and knows that was the right thing to do. But just because he realizes that rationally, emotionally he is having trouble with it.
He saved Blitz but didn't fully know the consequences that would come from that. His whole life has been uprooted, with the most damaging thing losing Octavia. Even if he loves Blitz, especially with Blitz acting more like a boyfriend, he isn't stable enough to fully engage with it.
Part of him is thinking "Is this it?" For all that he has lost, the result feels disproportionate. As he says in Sinsmas, he feels like an idiot for essentially ruining his life for "stupid, foolish fantasies". So, to cope, he retreats into fantasy. To a result where all of this was worth it.
In his fantasy, he still has his status, and Blitz comes in a grand gesture to sweep him off his feet. I do think it's sweet he includes Blitz's horse fixation with the stables. He still sees him, it's just reality isn't enough for him right now.
In fact, reality is pretty traumatizing right now, as we see he has PTSD from Striker's assassination attempt. Just being with Blitz isn't going to be enough for Stolas. In fact, it might make it worse if Blitz isn't fulfilling the pedestal Stolas has him on.
Stolas was clearly upset when Blitz admitted he knew Striker tried to assassinate him. Add into the fact from his POV Blitz "couldn't be bothered to come help" and that is grounds from some negative feelings. Things not living up to his romance ideals and all the trauma is a bad combination.
I think all this culminates in Stolas having some resentment for Blitz. It's not fair to Blitz, but feelings are not always rational. I'm expecting another Stolas crash out and Stolitz argument. Never a dull moment with these two, but that's what makes them compelling!
I also listened to Day by Day while writing this. One of my favorite Helluva songs. Explains Stolas' feeling very well.
"You got everything that you had thought you wanted, but you still feel so blue and you don't know what to do"
Fallen. Listening to the Hazbin Season 2 soundtrack, we keep thinking about how cool it would have been to have a Charlie and Vaggie duet about falling (like fallen Vaggi and fallen Lucifer) to complement Lute’s gravity.
In celebration of the music video. Check out Eric (Chaz's voice actor) livestream to know the behind the scenes of it. Also, Eric is such a gem! I'm becoming a member of the Chazmatazz at this point 😅✨
Helluva Boss Short 12: Explained!
I think it's so sweet how Eric and the fans came together two years ago with this song and now Spindlehorse created an official music video for it. The passion behind this series and the fans never fails to amaze me!
