-Shadow saw Sonic fidget but freeze up, stiffen up, and the black hedgehog felt a tremor within his heart at the sight — partly out of anticipation, and partly out of a pure enamor that came from him feeling amused at the blue hedgehog’s antics. Even now, Sonic never shed that energy from him entirely, which was fine by Shadow. He liked that slightly timid energy of his. It made him charming.-

… Okay.

-He sucked in a breath, curling and uncurling his fingers. This was it. No going back now.-

-Cup his hand underneath Sonic’s chin, and…-

-If anyone was expecting a passionate smack or rough slicking sounds of their lips coming together, they'd be disappointed. Sonic and Shadow came together so naturally, their lips meeting softly, Sonic momentarily freezing in place before he sunk into the kiss. So... It was just the whole kissing thing only not on the cheek and on the lips where it definitely felt a billion times better.

So there they where. Kissing. Sonic purring loudly as he closed his own eyes and finally let his own hands hold onto Shadow, his fingers curling in his fur. So much had happened in just a year, just a year and Sonic had experienced more than he ever did in his fifteen years of being alive. And this was something to add to his experiences, he got a crush and had his first ever kiss. Wow.

Life was so amazing.-

-Even while holding Sonic’s hand, Shadow couldn’t help but shiver. How was Sonic not cold out here? It was freezing!-

-But Shadow was a bit too much of a doormat to do anything aside from complain a little bit, so he allowed his hand to link with Sonic’s so they could go back inside the building and get something to wear. Just a coat would do. They had a few spares lying around.-

Don’t you want a coat, too? Surely you’re cold…

-After all, Sonic had even less fur than he did. He couldn’t possibly be any warmer than he was.-

I'm sorry... I was just excited.

-Sonic's voice went slightly meek for a moment before he instantly perked back up and he curled his fingers around Shadow's as he pulled him back inside. It was much warmer indoors, but Sonic held such a strong wanderlust that he'd brave the icy cold temperatures if it meant he could witness everything the world had to offer, everything he never got to when he was under Eggman's charge.-

Yeah, I am... But I didn't fall head first into the snow so I'm not as cold as you.

-Sonic kicked the front door shut with his foot once more and pulled Shadow over to the blazing fire in the living room, pushing him down in front of it carefully before he hurried off to boil the kettle and make Shadow some hot tea whilst he warmed himself up there.-

I'll grab ya a blanket in a sec too!

-He called back from the kitchen, stirring milk into the tea he had made carefully before taking a sip himself to check the sweetness of the beverage.-
