It’s so fucking irritating how testosterone will irrevocably destroy your body. Your voice is damaged forever. You grow hair that takes thousands to correct. I love the sheer physicality of Urara. It's so rare a battle manga let's the resident physical powerhouse be a girl that looks every bit as powerful as she is.
And her fights are very funny.
At one point a cop on super drugs is tearing through the station, ripping people apart with his bare hands, handgun bullets bouncing off him, very scary. Pretty tense. None of the people there are the kind of superhuman killers that can effectively deal with such a thing.
Then Urara shows up
Pulls the dude through a sheet metal door and snaps his neck.
And looks extremely pleased about it.
She's so cute!
I do love how they show when she finally gets serious by having her take a martial arts stance.
Because Urara isn't some dumb hunk of muscle; she's a professional prize fighter. She can actually *fight* not just brawl.
It's just that she has out-muscled every opponent she has faced until this point by such a ludicrous degree that she never had to fight them seriously.
But in reality she is probably at this point in the manga, the most skilled and lethal fighter alive of the cast.
And when she's both serious AND properly pissed off
Also: look at her arms and hands!
They gave her scars. Lots of them!

The fact that Everything Everywhere All at Once has the main character see that if she hadn’t gone to America with the man that would be her husband she would’ve lived a glamorous life of fame and fortune and her husband would’ve gone off and gotten very rich on his own rather than living together in an apartment over a laundromat struggling with finances every day and where so many movies would’ve framed that choice to go off together as a mistake, shown their alternative lives as some sort of “see? It wasn’t worth it” and had them “escape” to that “better” universe in the end, it instead all culminates in the line “Just so you know, in another life, I would’ve been really glad to just do laundry and taxes with you” changed my wholeass life
what movies about mother-daughter love have you been watching where the mother chooses to "escape" the universe with her daughter in it to be rich and famous in another?
