I walked by someplace that smelled just like empanadilla de pizza. Sadly, it wasn't that but I definitely got the craving from it. I remember buying them at the cafeteria or eating them after school and almost always burning the roof of my mouth. It was still worth it. Couldn't find a good photo of one but at least I got a package shot

Lo que no mata, engorda
Yeah, so I've pretty much been saying this wrong my whole life, lol. I've always said Lo que mata no engorda, as in "if you die from eating this, at least you won't get fat". Meanwhile, I should have been saying Lo que no mata, engorda as in "even if it doesn't kill you, it still has a price". Well, at least now I know. Either way, I'm eating that cookie I just dropped! 5 second rule in effect!

I was craving un sandwich de mezcla the other day. I came across this site that had a recipe for it. It's different than how we make them, but it brought back memories. Parties and bake sales at school always had them. I have to see what I did with the recipe. Hay que hacer pronto!

Today in NY it's 25 degrees (14 with wind chill). Brrr is right! Meanwhile I vividly remember in Puerto Rico, taking my hoodie with me to school when the temperature hit below low 70s during "winter". What a difference! Mandenme un poco de calor!
