This isn’t bfu but here’s a slightly aggressive reminder:
Just because someone else is talented doesn’t mean you’re not.
Creativity is not a competition. You are still a wonderful artist (of any medium) even if you see someone who’s amazing. Them being great doesn’t cancel out your greatness!
And guess what? Everyone has different strengths, even if you’re doing the exact same thing - that artist you compare yourself to, with the great hair-skills? Can’t draw eyes to save their life. The writer who has a ton of tear-jerking angst with great reviews? Can’t figure out how to navigate some decent fluff if it hit them in the face with a shovel. No one is perfect, and we’ve all struggled and fought and practiced our way to where we are now. Maybe they started before you, or after, but they’ve still gone through the same things you have (or maybe one of you is still getting through it, which is just as valid)!
You can’t let your talent be downgraded - by anyone - by blinding yourself with false inadequacies. You are capable of so much on your own, so imagine the level you can rise to if you learn from others you revere instead of feeling jealous and sick with your own ‘shortcomings’.
You are so amazing, and you will only become more so. Please don’t stop creating!
