“You deserve a break once in a while.”Dani locked the door behind her as she stepped into Lorna’s office. No one would disturb her while she was with a patient. With total confidence, Dani sat across the medic’s lap, sliding one arm around her shoulders and the other hand into her underwear.

Laughing with her, Lorna traced her fingers over Dani’s ribs lightly. “You may have a point there. But, then again, he supposedly created us all in his image so he can’t really judge us too much.”

“Why would an omnipotent being be humanoid?” Dani asked, squirming as Lorna’s touch tickled, “Why even have a physical form. Just be energy, permeating the cosmos.”

Lorna shrugged and stretched out, groaning quietly. “Who knows? I’m not even convinced he she or it is real, so I can’t really comment.” Smiling, she looked over her shoulder at Dani. “I’ll be right back.” Standing up, she shuffled off to the bathroom.

“I wouldn’t thank him for anything,” she laughed, “I’m pretty sure delivery falls under both gluttony and sloth. And call me crazy, but there might be a chance we indulged in a third sin. The lord might get a bit judgy if you get his attention.”

@linktoremnantspast1. Lorna has a big polar bear and a small penguin. Her polar bear will always be her favourite. 2. She has multiple plants that are all very much alive, she has no pets but would like a dog. If she ever had kids, she’d probably be pretty good at keeping them alive. 3. She prefers people who are taller than her (whatever their gender) but she’s short so that’s not difficult. Otherwise, she just likes personalities. And hands. 4. She loves to wear colour, especially red, she doesn’t care if it suits her or not, but it does. 5. Good luck getting her to give a speech. In her own words she’d “rather shit in her own hands and clap”. 6. She’ll listen to anyone’s advice but that doesn’t mean she’ll take it. 7. R: She’s annoying, short and done. Lorna: “I’m resourceful, approachable and calm.”R: All lies. 8. She loves complex puzzles but will inevitably get bored eventually. 9. No. 10. She’s happy with her age, she doesn’t like to look back on her past.

“Well, like I said, you don’t need to have any of the vaccines or anything. The only ones who ever get jabbed at are the SOLDIERs or those needing blood tests. Now that I’ve got your record updated, unless something major happens, you’ll never need to do it again.” Lorna put her file away and sat on the edge of her desk.

“But seriously, if you find you need a laugh, I’m holding a blood drive next week and there’s going to be some self proclaimed tough guys going who I know are going to faint, so the invitation is there. I might need to put you to work though, I can always use volunteers to help make drinks for people.”
