Cover for June and July, because I forgot to make one for June...
I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve spent the past month in a new town for a summer job, living without wifi in my dorm (unheard of these days, but possible!) and having little other than nature and The Sims to keep me entertained.
To summarise: Ålesund, Norway, is beautiful, highly recommended. But bring a pair of rubber boots.

New place, new set-up. Decided to treat myself to a large cup of green and black tea in this gloomy weather. What have you been doing to cheer yourself up?

I hope May was kind to you.
Such wounds to the heart will probably never heal. But we cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever.

It’s been over a year since I last posted. I’m no longer a fourth year mestudent struggling with psychiatry and neurology. This year, I’m on my last year. Back to internal medicine - and still struggling.
2020 has been hard, to put it mildly. A global health crisis in the form of a pandemic - are we really living through quarantine, isolation and daily news about the increasing numbers of Covid-19 cases? Worldwide?? It’s like a bad dream. And amidst it all, our daily everyday hardships continues.
Stay safe. Keep going. Like most things, this will soon be over.
Hi there, lovely blog :) can you tell a bit more about your colour codes? I wanna start it but idk how!
Thank you! I didn’t really have a “plan” when I first started highlighting when reading my text books, but I found it useful to group things together by colour, because it made it much more visually pleasing. It also made it much more easier to look up things later on when revising, and it probably helped me to remember stuff too as it sort of forced me to mentally categorize what I was reading.
So that’s my tip. Here’s how I do it for highlighting:
Yellow: Key words, phrases, important citations, definitions
Pink: Names, e.g. people, enzymes, receptors, etc
Green: Theories, concepts
Orange: Bacteria, virus, etc
Purple: Medications
Of course, you can make up your own groups.
I stick to the same colour codes when handwriting my notes. In addition, I write important things in red (just to make it pop). You don’t have to use the same colours, but try to be consistent. It makes revising much more easier 😊

Hope everyone enjoyed their summer break! Hard to believe that it's September already.
I'm moving on from neurology to psychiatry this module. Still haven't finished those neurology notes though 😅 But I did rearrange my desk (somewhat). Hopefully this notice board and calender will help me stay a bit more on top of things.
Thank you to everyone who has messaged me, I appreciate you for taking the time 😊
