I'm just gonna say it, I'm tired of pretending like racism in movies is still as big of a deal as Hollywood actors like to pretend it is. This shit was barely passable as an excuse 20 years ago, it sure as shit isn't passable anymore.

Yeah, some people are racist. Maybe even some loud and obnoxious people. But the vast majority of people who watched the sequel trilogy (prior to the discourse) wanted John Boyega to have a much bigger role. Hell, a lot of people thought he should've been the lead instead of Daisy Ridley.

But when Disney set him aside, whether due to internal racism, coincidence, the fact that there was a clear lack of an actual plan for the trilogy, etc., instead of blaming literally anyone that actually mattered like Disney execs, directors, producers, who the fuck ever—instead he chose to blame Star Wars fans and call them all racist.

So frankly yeah, he can go fuck himself. He literally pulled the same kind of bullshit that Brie Larson did for Captain Marvel. Y'all can fuck off with this whole "wah wah, everyone is sexist and racist", no the fuck they are not.

He has no one else to blame for his shitty career path but himself.
