No, I don’t think that’s the reason.

Audience feeling lost was not the reason, because presumably the audience had watched Infinity War last year and had seen how Bucky was the first to turn to dust, and the only one to talk to Steve as he went.

The reason Bucky wasn’t even mentioned, and Tony didn’t bring him up, was that Steve had to be completely detached from the present in this movie, and it had to be hammered in that the only way for Steve to go on was to run back to the past.

Because if Bucky is even brought up by Tony, Steve would have to say that he died, and then we’d have Steve mourning someone who would come back at the end of the movie, giving him reason to stay.

So: no mention of Bucky, Sam, Wanda or even T’Challa (these are all friends of Steve’s who he doesn’t even mention) in Steve’s super duper Support Group, only a woman from his past.

The only real ties he builds in Endgame are with Natasha and, supposedly, Tony. The only one he truly mourns for is Natasha. Once they’re both gone, he has no more ties to the present.

That’s why he is made to act so detached after Tony’s funeral, so that the audience, still dazzled by the battle of battles, sad over Tony and getting mighty tired, now think: of course, he has nothing to tie him to the present anymore.

So no, not fooled, Russos. But thanks, I hate it.

Pokémon Theory: I’m seeing a lot of pokéfans theorizing that the starters are this time based on ‘performance’- since Scorbunny seems to have some football/sports connections while Grookey with further analysis through the trailer, seems to be very musical related. So where does that leave Sobble to? I actually BELIEVE that Sobble perhaps instead of being related to ‘academic’ performance, is actually related to the ‘dramatical’ / theatirical performances❣️✨ The reasons why I believe this is the case for Sobble is because 1) Since Galar seems to be confirmed related to the U.K, the U.K is known for it’s rich drama culture e.g. William Shakespeare performances, their actors, dramaticists, and etc❣️✨ And, 2) Further analyzing Sobble, it’s possible that the ‘sob’ in ‘Sobble’ is actually a remiscence to the classical symbol for drama: the two emotional masks. (Sorry, I Dunno the proper term, but basically these x’D)
