The 7 Best of 2017
From home decor to beauty, these 7 items were my most used and loved in 2017.
1. Free People Chamomile Cardi
This is hands down the best cardigan I have ever owned. It’s open knit makes it a great option for any type of weather with a little creative layering. It’s great to lounge in at home but is also cute paired with jeans. I have the ivory and it is a 10/10.
2. DW Home candles
I first found these candles at T.J Maxx and have not used another brand since. The fragrances are light and airy which is great for sensitive noses. The vanilla bean and peony petals are my favorite.
3. Google Home and friends
I am not a big tech person so when Edwin first brought home the GH I was not impressed or excited. Boy, was I wrong. The GH and it’s friends really do make our lives easier. My favorite accessories are the Chromecast which lets me Netflix handsfree and the LED smart light bulbs which lets us change the color and brightness of the lights handsfree.
4. Little MAC Lipstick
I have a million half used lipsticks laying around in my apartment because I can never finish a whole tube and it feels wasteful throwing them out. I was excited when I found these little lipsticks which are about half the size of a normal MAC lipstick. The colors are limited, Mehr is my favorite, but they are great for the casual lipstick wearer.
5. Board Games
This year Edwin and I decided to buy one board game a month and have a date night playing whatever game we bought. We had so much fun doing this that it is a tradition we will bring into 2018. Our favorites were Speak Out, 5 Second Rule, and good old fashion Trouble.
6. Faux Fur Throw
This throw was a Christmas gift from my mom and I have not stopped using it since I got it. The fur on the outside is so soft but the underside has this amazing warm lining. Plus, it’s on sale right now!
7. Hot Tools Curling Iron
My old Conair curling wand bit the dust toward the end of the year and I replaced with this Hot Tools iron. The difference between my curls and how they hold is amazing when comparing it to my old iron. I would highly recommend to anyone who is a frequent curler.
Thank you for reading and thank you to Kathleen @ Carrie Bradshaw Lied for this fun idea. What were your favorite buys of 2017?
