Warning ā ļø: A Very Long and Sappy Fitness Achievement Post About to Commence! . . . . Iāve never been more astonished and proud of myself. Today, which happens to be World Suicide Prevention Day, I ran my first 5K distance without stopping once. I truly walked out of the gym in tears. A year ago I was at my absolute lowest mentally. I was contemplating suicide every single day. I never thought that there would be any goals, future, or existence for me. So, if you were to tell me a year ago I would find the strength to continue on, and find things to fight for, I would have told you, āYouāre crazy.ā But here I am. Here I am about to run my first 5K on Saturday in the memory of Peter, someone who was taken from this world way too soon. I swear today, I feel like nothing will stop me from finding my own light in my darkness. So, Peter, on Saturday, stay with me. Iām running just for you. . . . And for anyone struggling, just know you are not defined by your darkness. Your story is not over. And you, you are not finished. Letās walk hand in hand and stop the stigma. Together we can change the worldās view on mental health. You are stronger than this. And I promise, IT DOES GET BETTER. . . And to all my mental health warriors, letās keep kicking ass, and taking names! We. Are. Not. Alone. . . #worldsuicidepreventionday #stopthestigma #semicolonproject #fitnessjourney #kickingassandtakingnames (at Planet Fitness) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bnj4PR8F8vX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=2wow3mxvyqai
