hey, congrats on getting accepted into the dcp program!!! are you going to write about your experience there? because i would love to know more!!! especialy since you'll be doing merchandise and thats basically my whole major and i was thinking of applying maybe for maybe next years program.

Now that I'm accepted, I can post my roommate survey! I actually already have a roomie- Brittany- but we want a three bedroom, so we're looking for four more people!

* What program are you applying for? Fall * Do you want to live in Wellness or Non-Wellness? Wellness, since I'll be under 21 * How many people do you want to live with? 6 preferably * Which housing complex would you like to live in?: Chatham Square is my #1 choice, but I'm also okay with Patterson LIFESTYLE * Do you party? How often? I'm not really a big partier. I like hanging out with people and having small get togethers, but I'm not one for huge parties. * Do you smoke? Nope * Do you drink? I won't be drinking during the program * Can you cook? I know the basics, but I'm not a chef. I'm going to learn more before the program though, and I love to try new things! * Are you a night person or morning person? Both. Once I actually wake up in the morning, I'm fine. * Do you snore? Practically never. * What does your bedroom normally look like? It's not super neat, but there's not mold growing on the floor. I would say average. * Do you like it when your room is hot or cold? Preferably in the middle, but if I had to chose, I would say cold. * Would you rather go out or stay in? I like both. I can't stay in all the time, but then again, sometimes I just need a night in, watching movies or something. * What do you like to do on your days off/the weekend? Right now at home, I usually go to the gym, ride my horse, or hang out with my friends. Nothing too terribly exciting.  * Do you work out a lot? I like to, and I wish I did more, but I don't really have the time to work out a whole lot. PERSONALITY * Three words to describe you: Adventurous, funny, and excitable * One good quality: I'm flexible and don't get stressed out about little things * One bad quality: I can be sarcastic, which can come off badly, but I don't mean anything by it! And I can also be a little stubborn sometimes. * Are you outgoing or quiet? Outgoing, especially if I'm friends with you * Do you like hanging out with people or keeping to yourself? Both. I like to be around people, but sometimes I need to be alone.  * What would you want in a roommate? adventurous, respectful, funny, and optimistic! * What are your biggest pet peeves/dislikes? People who make jokes about depression, bipolar, self harm, suicide, and any of that kind of thing. It's not funny, so don't joke about it. * Are you messy or organized? in between. * How do you feel about sharing? I'm okay with it if you ask, but if I say no, please respect my answer and don't take advantage of me if I say yes. * Do you like having people over a lot? Not all the time, but sometimes is okay. And it would be nice if you just told me ahead of time so I'm not expecting to have alone time and suddenly people are over. Does that make sense? * Favorite thing to do: Anything that has to do with animals, and I love going on any kind of adventure! * Favorite Music: I listen to pretty much anything. Country, Pop, Alternative, and obviously Disney! I'm not too big on hip hop or rap though. I love love love Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift. * Favorite TV Shows: Once Upon A Time! Also, Say Yes To The Dress is a guilty pleasure :). * Favorite Movies: That's really hard. I really love Pitch Perfect, and basically every Disney movie. * Favorite Food: Spaghetti! * Favorite Candy: m&m's, or just plain chocolate. Oh, and fudge! * Favorite Drink: I typically only drink water. * Favorite Color: Yellow, purple, green, and blue in that order. DISNEY!! * Favorite Character: Belle is my favorite Princess! I also like Rapunzel and Anna and Elsa. And I love Aladdin and Ariel and Peter Pan and Chip and Dale and Meg and literally every character ever. ESPECIALLY THE VILLIANS. * Favorite Movie: Probably Frozen, Beauty and The Beast, Lion King, Tangled, or The Little Mermaid. * Favorite Disney Channel Show: Lizzie McGuire was my show in the days. * Favorite Park: All of them! But Epcot it probably my least favorite if I had to pick. * Favorite Ride: Kilomajaro Safari! * Number of times at Walt Disney World/Disneyland: Three- twice when I was really little, and once my Senior year of high school with my chorus. And I've also been on two amazing Disney cruises!

Well, I got cut after the first dance in auditions.

I honestly think I did a fairly good job. I messed up a little bit on the dance, but I know I had a smile on my face and used a lot of energy. My Mama brought me and she was talking to a woman who said that she had heard that they were only looking for shorter people today, and I'm 5'7"ish.

But do I regret going? No way. It was a lot of fun.

I got there at around 9:20ish, and sign in was at 9:30. We waiting in line, then signed in and got measured. I was measured at 5'7", which is pretty accurate. They do tell you to take off your shoes while they measure you. You also get a number. Then we waited a little more, and they came in and told us that obviously not everyone could be picked, and just because you get cut, doesn't mean you weren't good. It just means they weren't looking for what you had at the time. There was 150 of us in the room I was in, but I think they must have split us all into a few groups because I know there were more than 150 people there signing in. They taught us a super easy dance. It was basically some skips, a pivot, and a grape vine, with a few claps thrown it. We practiced it, then did it in groups of 6 across the floor. 

It's not intimidating at all. It's a really fun atmosphere and everyone there is so nice! 

I'm happy with my audition, even though I was cut. I gave it everything I had, and I simply wasn't what they wanted. It could have been my height, my face shape, my build, maybe even my freckles that kept me from moving forward. 

If you have the chance to audition- do it! You'll never know unless you try, and it's a great experience.

Today's the day! 

I'm leaving for DCP Character auditions in Philly in T-15 minutes! It's going to take about two hours for me to get there, but luckily my Mama is driving so I can sleep on the way.

If you see me, please come talk to me, I'd love to make some friends!

It's a long shot, but if I don't try, I'll never know, right?

Anyone going to DCP character auditions in Philly?

Let me know! I'll be there and would love to be able to recognize some people.

What are your wearing? How are you doing your hair/makeup? Are you going to bring snacks? Do you have any sort of previous experience? How tall are you?

I'm 5'8", which from what I've heard isn't a very good "disney height", but sometimes people measure me at 5'7", so who knows. 

I have no idea what I'm wearing. Probably yoga pants and cheer shoes, since I don't have jazz shoes. 

I have practically no past experience. I've been in one play and one musical, but that was in middle school. I took dance for like a year, but that's it because horseback riding was my first priority and I just didn't have time for both. I was a cheerleader all through high school, so I'm hoping that will help me out.

41 days...

Until the deadline for pending will be over. Which means in 41 days or less, I'll know if I got into the Disney College Program.

I really, really, really, really, really want to be accepted.

I've gotten to know Brittany really well over the past year, and she got accepted, so I'm hoping I'll get accepted too and we can be roomies!

I'm hoping the reason I've been pended is because they're considering me for one of my top roles- BBB, Character Attendant, or Recreation- and maybe they just haven't really started filling those roles yet?
