tutorial part one, and part two.

hi guys! i’m really busy working on stuff for graduation and i don’t have much time to upload stuff, so instead i thought i’d share a lighting tutorial i made a few months ago! i made it for a class i was TAing for and wanted to share it with you too.

it’s a quick and dirty way to do dramatic and expressive lighting, i think it’s especially effective for flat styles but it can also be used for more painterly styles! it’s not so much a tutorial on light logic, more on technique. for learning light logic, this book will cover most of your bases and i highly recommend it.
