On moments when it’s raining and I just couldn’t help myself but snuggle on some blankets, I would always have some hot chocolate with marshmallows— they’re the best combination. Although I have to say, that was me during my childhood. I’m currently a coffee lady, but hot chocolate with marshmallows would definitely be my go-to in times of reminiscing my childhood while making myself comfortable on a rainy night. Is this a bear or a koala? Maybe a hybrid instead? Well, some stuffed toys really make me think which is which, although we can’t deny the cuddles we gave them. We all had our childhood full of Mr. Snuggles (or whatever you call your fluffy friend), they keep us company and warm especially during night, truly something that we share throughout our childhood until we have our own children who would experience something similar. I grew up with my grandma on my side ever since I was born. One of the things that has always etched on my memory is her sewing ripped clothes or making new ones; with her sewing supplies in a Royal Dansk biscuit/cookies tin can (believe me, I’ve been tricked so many times thinking that there’s cookies inside), and her old sewing machine which not only me, but my cousins played with it as if it’s a swing or some kind of vehicle. At her house, there’s a large framed cross stitch at the center of her living room (now placed between the living and dining room), which (if I’m not mistaken) my cousin did when she was young. It’s an image of an angel and it always catch my sight, looking it with astonishment. I know my grandma loves that piece so I created this “complex” vector— adding the “cross stitch” manually is a tedious process and it really took me a lot of time. As for the image I created, it was an inspiration of my grandma’s dress which she often wore in the past. Bucketfeet!! For the “Shoes” challenge of @threadless for @bucketfeet, I created an abstract design inspired from a tree bark using bold colors. It took me some time to be able to finish this design since I want the look to be reminiscent of a tree bark, but not too much. This can also be a pattern because I find this to be a good design to various products. I might create more abstract pieces just like this one in the future. You can score my work as you deem fit.
