Dear White People (2017) on Netflix is garbage and here’s why, summed up in a screenshot.

Why are we perpetuating this way of thinking in a show that was supposedly made “by us, for us”? Africans who honestly think this way about African Americans and their ancestors are disgusting and no one called him on his bullshit in the show. He was replying to someone else, another black person, making fun of him being Kenyan like wtf this isn’t the appropriate response to that sort of situation.

If it WASN’T for the blood, sweat, and tears, the YEARS of African American struggle and organization to secure the rights of black people in this country, FOTB Africans wouldn’t even be allowed to be here in the United States.
