After watching zootopia 2, i was reflecting on how Nick's character was portrayed compared to Fink, the fox from the wild robot. Often, Nick's character is told to us, and at the end, although he is discussing his problems with judy because its therapeutic, it just seems kind of less significant when he just opened up, by saying he was what we already knew about him. On the side of Fink, his character is VERY similar but i feel it was excecuted in a better way. Also the three main characters were evenly explored, without sacraficing any opportunities to advance the story. Fink, showed more of his feelings through his body language and actions, rather than telling Roz. As they say, show don't tell. As an audience, this allows us to interpret more with less diagloge to lead us to our own more meaningful interpretations. Both of the foxes are innately solo, leading to their problems with connection. They both yearn for connection and earn it in the end, but i feel Fink's character arc was more satisfying than Nick's because his life changed drastically when he allowed that connection into his life. Nick always had judy, and she was going to be on his side in most situations, so his resulution with her was less impactful because that sort of connection was kind of inevitable with judy.

I REALIZED SOMETHING!

Pomni saying "the villian?" was subtle foreshadowing because with Caine dead, there needs to be a person to fill the antagonistic spot, which jax is most likely to fill. The line "become part of the machine" is so interesting because with Caine gone jax might go even farther into his "archetype", thus becoming the hypothetical machine. And after this he says, "I play a key role". And as we can see, all over the movie poster, there are key holes. From this we can assume he will play a key role in the last episode.
