here's a comment from u/Its_Your_Boi_MaxB on r/Vampire Weekend. i think it accurately articulates what tavi's intentions for fan reactions were, and i cannot stress the points in the second screen shot enough: forcing ezra to make a statement will only hurt tavi more and expose her to more criticism and trauma. she's already been met with a lot of negativity from people excusing or defending the men she talks about and it needs to end here. furthermore, nothing ezra says could fix the impact this has had on the community, especially among the young women who built his fanbase and his career over the past decade.

holy shit guys. devastating news today, i 100% believe tavi and i just can't believe that this is real. i can't even imagine how difficult it was for tavi to write even the small bit about her trauma in the infinity diaries in 2016, and i can't imagine how much she went through writing this piece, especially with such detail. i'm still thinking about what i'll do with this account because i am not comfortable giving someone like him any kind of attention or praise. let me know what you guys think about the situation or even feel free to vent about how you're feeling right now, but know that absolutely no victim blaming, r*pe apology, or defense of abuse will be tolerated on this blog
