legolas has zero sense of time like he'd disappear for months or years traveling by himself without giving any news and he doesn't realize how long its been until he meets with aragorn again and gets hugged for longer than he expected
In the movies, almost every time Legolas speaks in Elvish, Aragorn responses in Elvish. So I like to headcanon that he does this because when they were younger, Legolas used to visit Rivendell and they'd just speak in Elvish the whole time- also Aragorn is aware that perhaps Legolas is more comfortable speaking in Elvish than he is Western.
Food for thought. Personally I love it.

I am tired as shit and i had no intention to get frustrated with figuring out male face proportions this time, so excuse the tracing. Anyway here is a quick Aragorn sketch because I needed a break from studying. Also it’s actually my first time trying to figure out his face on my own and not just try to copy Viggo one to one lol, I rly think it’s decent

Aragorn: I feel like this is going to be a jab at me

Legolas: I truly go into housewife mode when I'm someone's soulmate- like, I'll make you pancakes and bacon every morning. Aragorn: This is a lie. Aragorn: I'm literally dating him. This is a lie. Aragorn: HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO COOK A PANCAKE, WHAT IS THIS.
sometimes I like to think about Legolas being so fully in love with Aragorn and whilst in the fellowship Aragorn needs to relieve stress, needs to relax and of course Legolas is more than happy to help but he thinks of it as “wow Aragorn returns my feelings” while Aragorn just needed a quick fuck
And then he still marries Arwen and breaks Legolas’ heart <3
