During To My Shore era when Fan Xiao repeatedly rąped Shulang, the excuse was that he wasn't being very violent and extremely forceful about it ("if he was violent, we wouldn't tolerate it"), that they signed a contract so technically it's not really sexual assault, that he just doesn't know how to love correctly, that Shulang is the only light in his dark life and he has no other way to hold onto him, that Shulang is the first person he's ever let touch him that way so it's understandable that he "can't help himself", and that this proves that they're soulmates, so he has every right to want it..

Now that we have Lu Feng who is blatantly violent when he forces himself on Yichen, the excuses have shifted to "Yichen provokes him, he was betrayed, his heartbreak has caused him to become so heartless, this is his way of ensuring Yichen doesn't leave him (again)"
