Melinoë
Melly is the first cat I’ve ever adopted as an adult. I adopted her on 08/14/24 from a cat cafe that also doubled as a cat rescue. She was born in a stray cat colony with a leg deformity in her left hind leg. While she can’t jump as far as other cats, it doesn’t bother her very much.

Thumbelina
I initially intended to just foster a second cat to see if Melly would appreciate a friend at first, but I ended up adopting Thumbelina permanently despite the first viewing going horrible as her foster mom failed to secure her leading to Thumbelina getting stuck behind a washing machine.
I gave this shy, timid kitten a shot, and ended up with a bundle of fluff full of love and affection to give. She gave me a scare a while back, but she was diagnosed with hookworms which is fortunately treatable. Now she’s on the mend and full of energy as ever! She’s the 2nd cat I ever adopted as an adult.
She was rescued alongside her mom and siblings after Hurricane Helene.

The Strays: when we moved, my GF found 4 stray cats running around the neighborhood, which we quickly decided to feed until we could TNR them. The bobtail black cat is Boba, the long furred black cat is Squid, the tuxedo is Sesame, and the brown tabby is Mr KFC. #The Strays
Kuro: My second family cat, he was adopted from the local animal pound where he had untreated ringworm. He was later adopted out to live with my mother’s coworkers. #Kuro
Jujube: My third and last family cat, he was adopted off of Craigslist when a woman had a litter of kittens under her porch. He came infested with fleas. He was later adopted to a family friend. #Jujube
Rest in peace, Nessie. You were a turd that loved tricking people with your fluffiness before attacking them, but we wouldn’t have you any other way. Thank you for giving my partner 10 years of companionship through it all. Enjoy your rest 💖

u simply must pick one pet to answer for and elaborate in reblogs if u wish. my cats both care way more than audrey when im back lol she wags her tail and might want to get kinda silly but sometimes doesn't even bother leaving her (open) crate to say hey
