literally just the progressive version of “do it for the exposure.” like as someone who is a “starving (performing) artist” i cannot even begin to tell you how little respect people have for artists and performers. we’re expected to just give away our time for free “because we enjoy it” not because we have bills to pay, and people think that us demanding to be treated and paid fairly is somehow disrespectful to our art????? like ma’am u asked me to do a $200 service for free and u think i’m the one disrespecting my art??????
