TRACK ONE: TAKE YOUR TIME.
muse a is extremely well-known around town, and muse b is just another one of their admirers. one night, they end up at the same club, and muse b decides to take a chance and chat them up, wanting nothing more than to talk to muse a. muse a usually isn’t very receptive to people coming on to them, but for one reason or another, they don’t chase them away.
TRACK TWO: LEAVE THE NIGHT ON.
muse a and muse b are completely enamored with each other, to the point where they would rather be together at night than be asleep. unfortunately, they live in a small town with little to no nightlife, and there’s very little to do after midnight. cue the nighttime shenanigans, late night adventures down country roads, and 2:22am kisses.
TRACK THREE: HOUSE PARTY.
muse a is extroverted and loves to go out and have a good time, but muse b is a little more introverted and reserved. one night, after muse b says they’re bored, muse a decides to bring the party with them.
TRACK FOUR: BREAK UP IN A SMALL TOWN.
muse a and muse b broke up and are currently on bad terms. unfortunately, due to the size of their town and their overlapping connections, they can’t avoid each other. muse a was making the best of it but quickly changed their tune when muse b started seeing a close friend of theirs — and their none of their mutual friends said anything. now, not only does muse a have to see their ex around, but they also have to see them with someone else. cue the bitterness and envy.
TRACK FIVE: SINGLE FOR THE SUMMER.
the academic year has come to a close and muses a and b are free for the summer. muse a isn’t looking for anything serious, since they’ll be returning to their respective schools in the fall, and muse b has accepted that. they’re both equally bad for each other, with muse a playing the field and muse b subjecting muse a to compromising situations that they wouldn’t otherwise get involved in. however, as summer starts to come to a close, muse a starts to think about what it would be like if they made their summer fling a little more permanent.
muse a is recently single and muse b is their rebound. as time goes on, however, muse b becomes increasingly aware that muse a is only using them to make their ex jealous. now, muse b has to decide if they would rather find someone with less baggage or continue being muse a’s pawn — and there’s no clear choice.
TRACK SEVEN: MAKE YOU MISS ME.
muse a and muse b are recently broken up, and muse a has made it their mission to make muse a regret it.
muse a and muse b decide to spend the night on private land, thinking they can get away from it, but they end up being arrested for trespassing. muse a freaks out because they don’t want to go to jail and are afraid of how muse b’s parents will react, but muse b’s on an adrenaline rush and doesn’t seem to care about the consequences. muse a is still afraid, but is too focused on muse b to think about it.
TRACK NINE: RAISED ON IT.
muses a-? are living it up on their old, small town stomping grounds, reliving nostalgia-inducing parts of their childhood and enjoying the things they still can in the present.
muse a and muse b have a nightly tradition of getting high in the middle of nowhere, cranking up their music, having deep conversations, and watching the stars from the bed of muse a’s truck.
