I decided to start making my own decals again! DIY projects are so much fun!

It was finally time to decorate my glass makeup stand with a super sweet custom decal that I made in Photoshop . This lovely Skełeton lady is on the front of my locking glass makeup stand.

I’ve been playing with some ideas on what decals I should make to go in the corners of each glass panel, and it finally came to me!Spiderwebs!!! You can never go wrong with spiderwebs.

I have also been making some really fun aged/cracked looking framed mirrors that are adorned with matching black rhinestones! I am very happy with the way they have all turned out.

I just received my amazing tube of YSL’s False Lash Mascara (thanks to Influenster). This mascara is by far the best mascara I have ever used. Not only does it make my lashes look incredible by adding volume and length, but it has wonderful oils and conditioners that help to leave your lashes feeling soft and healthy.

Their non-drying formula is enriched with B5 pro-vitamin, which deepens, darkens, and leaves your lashes looking instantly thicker. The nylon fiber brush builds luscious volume, coating lashes from root to tip for a bold false-lash look.

This incredible false-lash mascara also uses Argan Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil. These help your lashes to feel softer and the false-lash formula has a very nice scent to it.

All around Yves Saint Laurent’s Volume Effet Faux Cils mascara is a must have and is definitely worth the money.

Most amazing #3D #fibermascara I’ve ever used. #lovealpha is #incredible. It does the same thing as #Younique #fibermascara but doesn’t cost $30 or make your lashes look like spider legs.

Mary Kay TimeWise VS Drug Store Skin Care

I decided to put Mary Kay’s TimeWise Repair & Miracle Sets to the test and see how they compared to the Arbonne products I have come to love and know so well. And then I decided to take it even further and add some drug store skin care sets into the mix.

I rarely put photos of myself without makeup on, unless I’m doing a drastic before and after of a product.

Obviously one is the biggest differences between drug store alone care products(Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Vanicream, Drug Store brands by Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Olay, etc) and the brands you have to buy from a rep or go to your local Sephora is not just the price!! Most people don’t pay attention to the ingredients in their skin care products from their local drug store. You can even buy skin care products from your local dollar stores, but that doesn’t mean they are good for your skin.

I’m guilty of buying cheaper drug store skin care products when I was younger and didn’t know any better. As I’ve gotten older I always check the ingredients of my skin care products and my makeup. Quite a few of your favorite easily accessible products have fillers in them that are terrible for your skin.

I know that no one wants to spend $90+ on skin care products. I have hesitated to buy from a rep or to go into a Sephora or an Ulta and I would contemplate for a good 20-30 minutes on if I should spend so much money on the products I want to keep my skin looking and feeling wonderful. But I have yet to regret any purchase of a higher priced skin care item, and instead find myself very disappointed with the results that are promised by the cheaper drug store products.

And another huge difference with the higher priced products is that you don’t need to use as much of them so they end up lasting you several months(mine last me up to 6 months on average). Whereas the cheaper stuff you are buying more of every month and in the long run spend more on those cheaper products that do not work half as well as say Mary Kay’s TimeWise or Arbonne’s RE9 sets.

So the next time you are looking to buy skin care products consider the fact that over a 6 month period you could either spend around $25-$30 a month….or you can save yourself time, money, and the stress of constantly buying the same products every month and buy a $90 skin care set that will last you 6 months or longer.

We all spend more money then we realize on clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. But when it comes to taking care of our beautiful faces we hesitate. So ladies, stop hesitating and show your face some love by pampering your skin with better quality skin care products.

15 Unusual Uses For Nail Polish

If you’re anything like me you have tons of bottles of nail polish and have built up quite the collection. What you might not know is there are plenty of ways to put that nail polish to use besides just decorating your fingers. Here are 15 new uses for nail polish that will help you with day to day tasks around the house!

1. Apply clear nail polish over your labeled travel size shampoo, conditioners,etc. Whatever you have written on your travel size bottles with a Sharpie becomes smudge proof with any clear nail polish. You can even use it for labeling your garden.

2. Hate licking the gross tasting adhesive on envelopes? Get out your trusty bottle of clear nail polish and apply it onto the adhesive. Fold down, press and hold for about 30 seconds.

3. It’s a pain in the ass the thread a needle and often time takes several attempts. Clear nail polish to the rescue! Dip the end of your thread into a very small amount of clear nail polish and you’ll be stitching in no time!

4. Do you own jewelry that turns your ears, fingers, etc green? Grab your clear nail polish and apply a couple coats evenly and let it dry. This trick also works for people with metal allergies. You can put clear nail polish on a belt buckle, the back of a watch or anything else that is metal that touches your skin.

5. Prevent shoe laces or rope from unraveling without having to burn the ends. Apply some clear nail polish and once it dries it’s ready for action. And if you are having problems with your shoe laces you can always use clear nail polish, or if you want something fun and different grab a bottle of your fav color and dip the ends in any color. Before you know it you’ll be ready to rock n’ roll with custom tip laces.

6. Need to tighten a loose screw? Clear nail polish to the rescue!! After coating the screws with nail polish make sure they are completely dry. The clear nail polish adds extra durability.

7. Color code objects to find them easier. I use different colored nail polish on all of my keys so I know what color goes to what door, lock, etc.

8. For those of you who wear fishnet stockings, tights, or panty hose and you get a snag, get out your trusty bottle of clear nail polish. Once it dries it prevents holes, snagged fishnets, etc from getting worse. Every timeout go out with a pair on I always throw a bottle of clear nail polish in purse. This trick also works on any type of stretchy workout attire or your favorite sweater or scarf.

9. Do you have metal cans of shaving gel in your shower? If you’re like me you do and if they get rusty from the water they can leave a lovely ring on the side of your tub. To prevent this apply a couple coats of clear nail polish(to dry metal) and say goodbye to rust!

10. There’s never any band aids in the house when you need them. Fear not for clear nail polish can save the day once again. Apply it just like the liquid bandage stuff they sell at your local cvs, walgreens, etc.

11. You can use clear or colored nail polish to mark levels on buckets, measuring cups, jars, etc.

12. Waterproof matches for those rainy days. Apply a small amount of clear nail polish to the tips of matches to protect them from rain when you are outdoors. This is super helpful if you’ve got lanterns or planning a fun picnic or even a candlelit dinner.

13. Having trouble with splintered furniture? Just apply a couple coats of clear nail polish to smooth out the splinters. This will help prevent getting a nasty splinter in your hands/fingers or snagging your clothes.

14. Glam up your top coat by sprinkling some glitter on it. You can get really creative by using multiple colors of glitter. Or if you wanna really go wild you can add glitter to your base coat which creates texture on your nails.

15. Give your high heels a makeover by painting the soles with any color nail polish. And if you really want to give your heals a super glam look you can add the same color glitter to the colored nail polish you used. You can apply a traditional glossy top coat or for something different use a matte clear top coat.

I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect mascara(s), and was able to get these 3 to try out and review.

Physicians Formula’s Va Va Voom Volume mascara.

I’ve never been a fan of their products but the tube itself looks so awesome and the type of wand seemed like it would work pretty well.

Although it made my lashes look pretty and did add volume, I was not happy with how difficult it was to put on. It took more coats of mascara then I normally wear to achieve the look I wanted. And unlike my other mascaras with a silicone type wand…this felt like hard plastic which made it very uncomfortable and at times painful to apply. I did some research on the price and for what the average price is for this particular mascara (around $15) I would never buy this product.

Physicians Formula continues to be a brand I DO NOT like and would not recommend to anyone. I am very disappointed and can’t believe this mascara is on shelves.👎

L’oreal Voluminous Miss Manga mascara

I was extremely excited to try this mascara for several reasons, but the most important is for 2 reasons: 1. I love L’oreal’s wand designs 2. They make excellent mascara. This wand is unique to all other mascaras out there. Not only does it have yet another amazing wand design but the tip moves 360 degrees(Flexor Brush). So you can literally put this fantastic mascara on at ANY angle. EPIC WIN for L’oreal!!💋 And the more coats you put on the fuller your lashes get. I had people asking if I had lash extensions or if I was wearing false lashes, and when they found out it was just a new mascara by L’oreal they were blown away! And it only costs $7.99!! So this is definitely a mascara I will continue to use and then purchase when I run out. I absolutely LOVE this. 👍

Be A….Bombshell Lash Out mascara

I’m a huge fan of this cosmetic company in general. I own quite a bit of their fabulous products. I have yet to find a product of theirs I don’t like.

Their Lash Out mascara glides on your lashes effortlessly and stays looking perfect all day. This is a great mascara for everyday wear or to layer on more coats for a bolder look.

Now even though this mascara retails for $15, it is well worth it in my option because of its high quality pigment and long lasting wear.💋 Even though the wand is more of a traditional mascara wand it leaves your lashes looking gorgeous and clump free.👍

This is a quick and easy DIY twist on French Tips. It can be done with any color combinations to make it as unique as you are.

I decided to go with the traditional black/white zebra print pattern. And instead of having my nails all glossy I applied a matte top coat to the black nail polish on my nail beds. And I wanted more contrast with this design so I used a super high gloss top coat for only the zebra print tips.

Black/white already contrast really well together, but I took it a step further by using a matte and high gloss top coat.

Another fun and easy twist on a classic nail design that you can do at home.

Yesterday I lounged in my pool with my waterproof bluetooth floating pool speaker for almost two hours. Getting to rock out to my fav tunes in the pool was AMAZING! I used my Hang Ten SPF 50 I got in my ipsyofficial May Ipsy glam bag. And floated around the pool in my awesome pool chair. I have never been so happy to have a pool, especially now that we have a solar blanket for it to help heat the water on the cooler days.

I think I hear the pool calling my name again today!!
