Writing every single day and not giving a fuck what it IS that I'm writing has been the best self-help and mind activity I've done for myself all year.

I'm popping out about AT LEAST 500 words every single night before bed and the minimum is only increasing. I am not burnt out, I do not stutter, and my problem-solution with plots has only gotten more critical. I need to maybe diversify the writing; right now its short essays, poems, and fanfiction, but perhaps I may begin writing challenges (yes, like from high school writing class) again or dabbling in varying genres with my writing style. Either way? SO HAPPY.

I think the shift of motivational messaging and imagery in society going from “breathe, you’re doing great”, “you’re on the right path”, “trust in yourself”, “above all, be kind”, “do good in this world”

to stuff like “tomorrow doesn’t start till you actually do it.” “Keep moving forward.” “Don’t ever stop. Let go of everything to achieve your goal.” “The hungriest person gets the best result.” “Outdo yourself.” “Grind. Grind. Grind.”

is a societal example of late stage capitalism and propaganda. But maybe I’m crazy.
