As you may know the “x reader” side of the Twisted Wonderland fandom is PRETTY BIG in my opinion. As much as I love the x reader and shipping side there’s been a lot of disturbing stuff I have been seeing revolving around this part recently. A BIGGGG issue with the “x reader” + shipping side of the Twisted Wonderland fandom is how certain harmful dynamics become normalized or romanticized. While fanfiction is FICTIONAL and people can write what they what when they want, there is still a noticeable pattern of content involving incest-coded relationships, inappropriate age gaps, and unhealthy power dynamics being treated as “attractive” or “harmless” without much critical discussion.
One major example is the presence of incest or sibling-coded ships. Even when characters are canonically related, or in “x reader” case the reader is implied to have a familial relationship with that character, people still sexualize those dynamics for shock value or fetish content. Examples of incest in the fandom would definitely be Jade x Floyd and not that long ago I saw a Lilia x Reader where the reader WAS LILIAS CHILD(and it was a smut fic). These types of relationships make many fans uncomfortable, especially when these relationships are romanticized way rather than acknowledged as taboo along with that it’s genuinely just disgusting YES they are fictional characters but it’s DEFINITELY doesn’t excuse the fact that they are related. With x reader it’s truly up to the creator and it’s sick that they would even think to make reader related to the character of choice and then make them be romantic with each other.
Another issue is the amount of extreme age gap content. Since Twisted Wonderland characters are TEENAGERS, some content pairs them with much older adults, authority figures, or immortal characters in ways that feel predatory. A lot of these stories ignore the imbalance in maturity, power, and experience, instead portraying the relationship as an automatically romantic simply because the characters are attractive. Same with “x reader” the amount of age gap content for x readers NEEDS TO BE STUDIED. Examples of this would be shipping any first year with third years or adults, any minor with an adult, minors with immortal beings, (minor) reader with adults, AND any student x teacher relationship.
The fandom also has a problem with oversexualizing underage characters. Even though the cast is largely made up with high school students, there is a huge amount of explicit fan content involving them. Some fans defend this by saying “it’s fictional”, while simultaneously attacking other people’s ships as immoral, creating a very hypocritical environment. Although in my personal opinion if you have decided to age up a character and you have made it clear that you are not making NSFW content of a minor then I think it’s ok.
Another toxic aspect is fandom harassment. People are often attacked for disliking certain ships that are reasonable and this goes vice versa but more of disliking some ships. To be honest I have a hard time writing about this topic specifically because I don’t not want to get hated on or getting attacked for my opinions, although one thing is clear and that is people get attacked for disliking ships, preferring platonic interpretations, or criticizing problematic content. Discussions quickly turn into “pro ship vs anti” arguments instead of respectful conversations. This creates a hostile atmosphere where fans feel pressured to either stay silent or fully agree with the dominant side of the fandom.
There is ALSO the issue of flattening characters in MANY MANY “x readers” stories. Complex characters lose their original personalities and become overly possessive, obsessive, or unrealistically devoted to the reader(though some of these might be applicable to the yandere trope which would make more sense if these traits were used in that context). This can reduce nuanced characters into generic romantic archetypes designed purely for wish fulfillment at the cost of mischaracterizing them COMPLETELY.
Overall, the problem is not that people enjoy fanfiction or self insert stories. The problem is how parts of the fandom normalizes unhealthy dynamics, sexualize teenage characters, and create toxic discourse around shipping and morality while refusing meaningful criticism.
(Once again all of these are MY OPINIONS you do not have to agree with them)
I have an upcoming surgery in June, my anaesthetist is asking for 2700, I feel shitty asking for help but I don’t know how else I’m going to afford this, just a repost is enough
Sooooooo wat if the prefect is a star,as in literal meaning ,not an actor or famous, i mean as a celestial creature that's takin a form of a human, and one night while the prefect and (any character) were walking there was a star in the sky seemingly falliiinn…… ah hell nah its actually falling, and its not any star too,the prefect realized who it was and managed to catch the little falling star,it is the prefect's younger sis or bro,and the prefect and (any character) takes care of this cute fallen little star who was searching for their older sibling who's the prefect
eh had this random idea, anyway have a good day :]
AGHH this is so stinkin cute!! not sure if this is where you were going per se, but i adore stories where everyone is unaware of the prefect's true self/abilities T_T i love the reveal of "ya you were bullying a celestial being" LOL
sibling trope also the best for life...

ORIGINAL STORY
⋆⁺₊⋆ ━━━━⊱༒︎ • ༒︎⊰━━━━ ⋆
The fire was all-consuming- burning against your skin, each budding flame nipping at any ounce of exposed skin. Your teeth gritted as you spun around, trying to find a break. Your finger twitched, eyes squinting as you tried to fight the ever-growing sting.
An all too familiar feeling.
You choked on your own breath as the air surrounding you became toxic, your legs giving out as you desperately fought to cough out the smoke, covering your mouth with your sleeve.
Was this seriously it?
You fought so desperately to survive all this time, just to be taken out by…
“Hn..”
No.. You wouldn’t give up!
Forcing yourself up, you stumbled ever so slightly, pushing all your energy into your right foot, you moved to take off.
“Uff!”
Just to immediately fall on your face.
The indomitable human spirit wasn't all that useful in a no-win situation. The floor was hot against your hands, eyes drooping as the thought of passing out felt more pleasing than the desperation for air…
A loud thump made you flinch, and you tried to crawl away, assuming debris had fallen too near your head. Your hand pathetically reached out, fingers twitching- until your body lifted from the ground, a hand against your head, pressing you into its owner's chest. It wasn't a clean breath per se, but suffocating against the mystery person's shirt was a bit more appealing than the poisonous air surrounding you.
Closing your eyes, you desperately clung to your savior. Your ears were ringing, blocking out the sound of the man’s grunts as he ran, ramming into a large door, stumbling out of the room, and into the hallway.
His legs must have given out under him as he fell forward, holding you tighter, as you both rolled further into the open. A sharp cough left your throat as he hit the floor roughly, the air (the little you had left) getting knocked out of your chest.
A loud noise made you flinch, turning to the side as a bright light enveloped the room. Even with your eyes closed, you felt dazed by the residual blindness, but your concern about that was covered up by the relief- the harsh warmth slowly cooled.
Slowly opening your eyes, you sat up, staring at the cloaked figure in front of you. He was staring at the room you had both just escaped, silence completely consuming the two of you.
"..Hah... they really should put more protection in classrooms," he sighed, standing straight up, stretching his arms up. His voice felt... eerily familiar. "After all, a school full of crazy kids with magical powers, just asking for a..." he turned around, and silence once again filled the hall.
You were still breathing heavily, barely calmed down from whatever just happened. The fire had died down completely, leaving only the moonlight to illuminate the two of you.
Even with its glow, you couldn't make out who the figure was, or why he was staring down at you as you owed him money. Alas, you just sighed, rubbing your eye, still tearing up from the smoke. "Seriously.... I'm gonna kill that bird if he doesn't fix this."
You pushed your hand against the floor, beginning to stand up, though, perhaps ignoring the tremors racking through your body was a poor idea, as you immediately wobbled. Before your legs could completely give up on you, the man rushed forward, balancing you against his short stature.
"Oh... thanks, again..." slowly lifting your gaze from the floor to him, you paused, unsure what to make of the vibrant eyes staring deep into your soul.
Right.
You had almost forgotten...
How it felt when your heart skipped a beat.
The adrenaline that had slowly dispersed immediately came back, and you stumbled backwards, panic etched on your face as you turned on your heel, rushing off.
You didn't have the heart to look back as you ran off, like an absolute coward. Your mind must have been playing tricks on you, right?! There was no way he was here; it was insane to even fathom. You hadn't heard about him since the war ended, and you had come to terms with the fact that he was gone.
But, in all fairness, you had never outwardly looked for the outcome of everything. You never tried to find out if he had died, if he had won the war, if he had gone off and married someone else...
It felt better not to know the truth, to stay oblivious.
You refused to look into it- in the same way you now refused to look back.
Your heavy breathing never subsided as you rushed away, your lungs burning as you ran into the cold night air, collapsing every so slightly, hands on your knees as you caught every ounce of oxygen that you could.
It was the better option... to never know, right?
Yet if you had looked into it, you would have learned that he survived- you would have learned that he led Briar Valley to victory.
If you had looked into it, you would have learned that he was waiting, forever, if he needed to.
And if you had looked back, you would have seen his hand reach out, just a few seconds too late.
And you would have realized he had lived the past hundred years with the same question, the same fear you had shoved deep into your heart.

You couldn't sleep.
Asking you to go to bed at a regular time was difficult on a good day; asking it on an anxiety-ridden day was like asking a penguin to fly. You stared up at the decrepit ceiling of ramshackle, Grim's soft snoring beside you the only constant.
Your fingers crept upwards, your heart hammering in your chest. Thoughts run rampant through your head, your hand clutching your shirt as you debate everything that has happened.
Clonk!
You nearly jumped out of your skin, eyes darting to the flowing curtains. A faint shadow was evident through the glass, and your eyes narrowed... You knew who it'd be. Glancing over at Grim, you sighed, slowly getting up and tiptoeing to the window.
"...What are you doing here?" Your voice was hushed, leaning your head outside the window to quiet yourself, not wanting to awaken the little beast atop your bed.
He had changed so much, his long hair cut down to his shoulders, the once sharp eyes he held now wide. Yet despite all the changes, his new features, your heart still clenched at the sight of him.
Lilia.
He leaned forward, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly, "Well, you did run off before we could have a proper discussion."
Your lip jutted out at that... he wasn't wrong, after all, you had run off before he could even utter your name. "Can you blame me? It's like seeing a ghost."
"I feel as if I'm the one who should be saying that," he grumbled, his eyes narrowing slightly as he inspected you. His hand reached up, attempting to hold your face, only to flinch back as you backed up in surprise. He coughed into his hand, mumbling a small apology.
"..And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
Lilia stared back at you, as if you were speaking a different language. "What? Maybe the fact you're alive?? It's been hundreds of years, humans, they don't..." he trailed off, moving his hands in the air as he spoke. "They don't live that long."
"Right."
"Yeah, right."
Glancing to the side, you made sure Grim was still safely asleep before letting out a small breath. Shuffling forward, you grab onto the windowsill, throwing yourself over it, and plopping down on the other side. Your ankle stung slightly from the impact, but thankfully, it was only the first story.
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶཐི༏ཋྀ
The cool air nipped at your nose as you wandered through the courtyard, looking for the nearby bench. Making your way towards it, you gestured for Lilia to follow, and he did so- watching you cautiously.
What exactly had happened after Lilia left… it had grown hazy in your mind. Yet his eyes on you made his wishes evident; he wanted an explanation. Where had you gone? Where had everyone gone?
To be truthful, you couldn’t answer some of that with full certainty.
“..before the knight was able to kill me, someone else came in. I guess he was higher up in the ranks..?” Your voice was shaky as you recounted the events, “He had long blonde hair, and he managed to get the knight to leave me alive, after all, I was a human. It wasn't in their orders to kill me.”
Lilia hummed, having plopped down beside you on the bench. He kept an obscene amount of distance between the two of you, as if even touching shoulders would break you into pieces. “Sounds like the dawn knight,” despite trying to sound neutral on it, a bit of spite was evident in his voice.
Consumed by silence for a moment, you sighed, “Right… I guess I had my suspicions.” Staring down at your hands, a sigh left your lips. “But… even though he spared me, he didn’t stop them from… from killing the half fae girl. Nobody even tried to stop them.”
“You couldn’t have done anything to prevent that…” Lilia mumbled, finally reaching out, hesitantly putting a hand on your shoulder. “You’re not a soldier, it’s not your fault the Ironclads were cruel.”
“But still… I…” your voice broke, tears welling up in your eyes. “I didn’t even try… t.. I didn’t even try to save her..! I was too scared…”
Lilia froze, watching as you trembled next to him, your hands moving to cover your face as your cries turned to sobs. “..I just watched her… get murdered by them. Like a coward!”
His eyes shut tightly before moving forward and grabbing you into a hug. His hand is at the back of your neck. He held you tight as you hiccuped, sniffles muffled by his chest. His head lowered, eyes furrowing as he held back his own distress.
“There was nothing you could have done,” he mumbled, holding onto you the slightest bit tighter. “There was nothing any of us could have done to stop all the tragedy.”
Right…
You slowly pulled back, wiping away the tears in your eyes, ignoring the slight sting of irritation now on your skin. Staring up at him, your eyebrows furrowed, looking for any hint of what he was thinking through his eyes- but all that was left in them was a look of concern.
All too familiar with that brief flash of surprise that hit his face when you both had first met, before he threw the game.
The nostalgia clawed at your stomach, almost making you want to throw up, the memories of the Courtesan house hitting you hard, everything you had tried to force yourself to forget.
Lilia hesitated before slowly dropping his arms from you. Pulling back, he watched you for a moment, "That doesn't explain... how you lived for so long, though. Even if you survived the fire and slaughter-" he paused, noticing the way you flinched at the term. "Even though you survive all of that, it's still been centuries."
"A ring," you murmured, pulling your legs up to your chest as you hummed slightly. "I started to work as a maid for the main human kingdom, attending the Queen and her newborn. Lady Leah... she met her end tragically, in an attempt to save her child."
Lilia's head cocked to the side, leaning towards you, "Right... her kid."
Ignoring the strange tone he took on there, you continued your own tale, "When Bladevale was overtaken, Lady Leah sacrificed herself- I'm sure you know that story," after all, Lilia would have been the one to have commanded the attack on the kingdom... Your eyebrows furrowed, shaking your head of any frustrating thoughts, "But before that, she received a ring, a golden ring that her husband had once worn."
Leaning back, your knees made their way under your chin, "I heard tales of it, but I didn't necessarily believe them. The idea that such a small piece of jewelry was blessed by fairies was... insanity, no?" You cracked an insincere smile, looking down at your finger. "Leah... ahem. Lady Leah believed in it, though. Yet instead of granting herself health... instead of using it to create more bloodshed, she forced it upon me."
Lilia watched you closely, noticing your hesitance to continue, and nodded. "She used it to bless you, didn't she? That's how you've lived for so long."
"Something akin to that," you nodded, lips slightly curled back. "Her only wish... was for me to live on, and to bring her baby to a castle with three fairies."
"Castle wildrose."
You perked up, eyes widening slightly, "How do you..."
"I'm the one who found the boy," Lilia mumbled, leaning back into the bench, staring up at the stars. "I took him in... after the war."
Inspecting him as he spoke, you nodded, "I see."
"Do you want to meet him?"
"What?" You blinked, shaking your head from the surprise, "How is he alive?? Isn't he a human too?"
"Yes," Lilia nodded, confirming what you already knew. "I guess you weren't aware of what was happening. The fairies put him into a slumber that was centuries long, to keep him safe."
Staring... Your mind wandered off before shaking your head, lip jutting out. "I don't think I can handle that. Seeing Leah's child."
"Right," he mumbled, his gaze finally leaving you, and watching the grass. "I can understand that, but sometimes it's... comforting."
"You never knew Leah or her husband, how does..." you trailed off, racking your brain for how exactly he related. Before you could question him further, he laughed dryly.
"Not Silver- er... not the human boy," Lilia ran his fingers through his shorter hair, sighing to himself. "My Queen's child, I've been watching over him for a while now; it was her last wish."
You fidgeted with your fingers, awkward under the topic of the fae queen. You had heard about her tragic end, the very end that drove Leah into a depression, as her husband died by the woman's side. "Mh, I guess I did hear about the fae baby surviving."
"It's hard, sometimes," he trailed off, hesitant to discuss his true feelings. "I see her in him, every time he succeeds, every time he fails. It hurt a lot at first, but now, it's like she's still here with me."
"You cared about her a lot...?"
"Mh," Lilia nodded, "We were best friends. Her, me, and her husband. And... the way you talk about her, you were closer to Lady Leah than just a maid?"
Perking up, your face flushed, glancing to the side. That's obvious, huh? "I... It's not like we were best friends like you all. She was much kinder than the man who originally employed me to attend to her, some old guy. She cared for me... more than just as a servant. It was nice to have a friend who wasn't my coworker."
"Ah, speaking of coworkers, what ever happened to the other girls?"
Your hands tightened at the seat of the bench, stiffening a bit. "Oh, right..." Clearing your throat, you thought back... hundreds of years ago... "Well, many of them lost their lives that day. The ironclads were casually cruel, and anyone who spoke out about them- they saw it as a punishable offense."
"I was lucky enough to be saved by the Dawn Knight, but he couldn't stand by every room directing each soldier," sighing, you stretched your legs out. "Those who weren't killed directly, married off, or brought into servitude... They either starved on their own or died once the house was set aflame."
He nodded as you spoke, his eyes will with disdain for the people you talked about. How he wished the war had ended earlier, how he wished you and all the others were spared from such torment. He knew you weren't saying everything that happened, everything you had seen and experienced- but he knew better than to push.
"...But... Alina lived on happily," a faint smile crossed your face. "I wish we could have worked at the castle together, but she got a good job as an apprentice seamstress."
"Alina... the little girl, right?" Lilia questioned.
You nodded, "Right. The one who called your friend Mr. Boar. She even invited me to her wedding after the war, but... I couldn't really go. How exactly would I explain how I didn't age in 20 years?"
Your discussion continued as the night drew on, Lilia sharing his experiences raising two kids, and you recounting your explorations. You explained that you worked on the premises of Night Raven, your talents for games and knowledge of music and art being a useful asset.
For two people who were destined to live beyond the time humans could comprehend, it was obvious that time passed quickly. Minutes did not matter in a span of thousands of years, a contrast to when every second was a step closer to death.
Despite that, every minute Lilia hung on to every word you said, every laugh, every smile- the thought of missing any bit of it again was enough to make his heart ache. Even as you both had changed, even as the whole world changed, the simple way you made his heart beat never did.
Lilia knew raising Silver was what he was meant to do, and he knew saving Malleus was his fate as well. Every moment he cherished with them would never be filled with regret, but there was always something amiss.
He leaned forward, watching in subtle amusement as you flinched back, your words dying in the air. The flushed expression on your face was in sync with his own, even if it was a bit hidden by a smile on his face. His face was still framed by his hair, just as it had been when you both first met.
His nose met your own, as his hand raised to fiddle with a strand of your hair, running down the side of your neck, thumb rubbing your pulse point. Your hands flailed in mid-air, unsure of where to go now, eventually just falling flat on your legs.
And now, everything felt just right, and he would never let that go again.

Hello! If I may, could I request Lilia, Leona, Floyd and Malleus reacting to this Scenario:
You two are in your room cuddling after a long day. You are half asleep and they are watching you be completely safe and relaxed with them, and then you look them in the eye and say “Mine” before falling asleep.

/•᷅•᷄\੭ “Of course, all yours.”
Leona is much more sarcastic in his response, not one to show how impacted he is by your words (the og tsundere…). Even though his cocky reply makes you snort a bit as you fall into the depths of sleep, you can hear his heart speeding up, and the sound of the tip of his tail flicking in the air.
Not only were your words already incredibly lovey-dovey, but the way you were completely exposed and vulnerable at the moment tugged at his heartstrings. You weren’t saying such a thing simply to gain his favor, or to tease him, it was your true raw feelings.
You don’t seem to remember what you said when you woke up, and he made no point in bringing it up. Though, Ruggie was thoroughly disturbed when he saw Leona smirking to himself randomly throughout the next few days.
“..I think you broke my Housewarden, Prefect.”

𓆝.˚ “Zzzzzzzzzzz”
Floyd had clonked out far before you had, at least.. That’s what you were under the impression of. His heart was steady, his breath warming the top of your head as he suffocated you in his arms.
He showed no sign of reaction when you moved, your squirms meaning nothing in his slumber. Though, the very moment you sleepily mumbled out the title, his arms squeezed just the slightest bit more around you. Whether that was an unconscious reaction, or his little eel brain being half awake, you weren’t sure.
The next day though, he watched in a bit of boredom as you ran around, completing every task thrown at you by Crowley.
Eventually, he stood up, leaning towards you, nearly making you drop your papers as he bumped against you. “Ah! Floyd.. careful!”
He snickered to himself, resting his head on your shoulder and snatching the papers from you, lazily looking them over before tossing them onto the counter, opting to grab onto your waist. “Hmp… I’m bored, and it’s your job to entertain me, right?”
“Hah? How is that my job!”
“Because I’m yours.”
..yeah his evil eel brain heard.
━━━━
ཐི༏ཋྀ “How brash…”
Lilia is incredibly caught off guard by your declaration, and despite his usual assertive attitude, he can’t help but be the slightest bit flustered. He’s much more used to being the one making the first move, not being flirted with first.
Yet his fingers drummed against your side as your breaths became steady, a relaxed expression on your face making him sigh. “…You can’t say such a thing and then fall asleep on me, Prefect,” he grumbled, but made no move to wake you up. “Your cruelty really knows no bounds.”
When you woke up, you had an aching wrist and were quickly confronted by two shallow marks. Someone had bitten you.
“…”
“Huu.. what can I say? Now people know you’re mine too, right?” Lilia grinned, pulling you closer back onto the bed, sticking his tongue out at the look on your face.
“..This is why people think you’re a vampire, Lilia.”
“Whoops…”
━━━━
𖤝 “Well, yes. We are together, are we not..?”
Despite Malleus being considerably young when it came to fae years, talking to him still sometimes felt like showing a meme to your mother and having to explain that no- SpongeBob wasn't actually going to break into your house.
Malleus watched as you fell asleep, his eyebrows furrowed as he debated waking you. On one hand, he knew humans needed sleep much more than he did… and he did enjoy your head resting on his chest. If he awoke you, would you refuse to sleep on him again?
Yet, on the other hand, he was silently debating if humans had a second session of courting where they had to outwardly declare their relationship status.
Inevitably, he let you sleep, his eyes watching you the whole night. The next day, he further thought about it, before confronting you in the middle of the hallway, grabbing your hand, and pulling you closer to him.
“I am yours, yes. And… you are mine, right?”
“..Tsunotaro.. What the hell are you talking about?”
