the saturn principle in aquarius gives a tendency toward solitude. uranus, the lightning rapture of ideas from outer space is the modern ruler of aquarius. so brilliant ideas may flow into consciousness during alone time. and this could be their isolation, thoughts that seem a century too early. but aquarius rules the eleventh house, and this is the astrological home of friends. sharing their ideas between groups of people gives frequency for ideas to build energy by building thought, and then saturn manifestation. it’s through aquarius ideals that the social conscience changes for the better. if these tremendous displays of human insight are not shared with others, then the aquarius can feel awfully alone and useless. the air within cannot be bottled forever

Taking screenshots of time-montages in The Way Were for TIME TELLS. The movie always makes me cry. It actually hurts to watch it. It’s the worst favorite movie love story of all time because it romanticizes (diegetically and non-diegetically) all the wrong things and makes painfully clear that great, larger than life, brilliant, intense, passionate, one-of-kind-women are always dooming themselves with mediocre unremarkable melancholic men that don’t deserve them, can’t commit, can’t keep up, will never change. Plus, it’s the beginning of the great Streisand chasing the “fantasy WASP.” So women doomed onscreen and off. Lastly: Pollack never let any of his onscreen leads stay together. Only once—–maybe—–in Tootsie. He wasn’t a realist, he was a cynic. He couldn’t imagine alternatives. Or maybe like, De Palma, Pollack didn’t have any faith in men.

Mashrou Leila's Hamed Sinno speaks out on being Arab, Muslim and gay

Hamed Sinno is the frontman of Lebanese indie rock band Mashrou Leila and an openly gay Arab American from a Muslim family. He reacted strongly to a crowd following the mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub, lamenting the attack against the LGBT community as well as the rhetoric against Muslims and Arabs that followed.

“Suddenly, just because you’re brown and queer you can’t mourn and it’s really not f—ing fair,” Sinno said on stage while performing at the band’s sold out show Monday night at The Hamilton in Washington. “There are a bunch of us who are queer who feel assaulted by that attack who can’t mourn because we’re also from Muslim families and we exist … this is what it looks like to be called both a terrorist and a faggot.”
