He wants to find the person he loves more than anything else in the world, and he does truly believe that he has that with Julianā and heās an alchemist, dabbling in Magic somewhat when he has questions for Asra it feels like he wants to learn something. Heād much rather have money over power and fame mostly because he grew up a poor manās child before traveling at the young age of 15.
Actually, to add, his little brother Raul prioritizes Knowledge first, then Love, and then Fameā Power and Money are tied for last because he was raised by a king and set up to be an heir, though he wasnāt cut out to rule the way his stepfather, Atlas, truly wanted him to, hence why he ran off to Vesuvia to study medicine/pharmaceuticals
