He laughed softly as she didn’t let go of him, and he kept his arms wrapped around her as well, his lips pressing back together to hide the smile as he stopped moving and let go of her right after she almost tripped. His eyes studied her face for a moment as his head tilted down, cupping her cheek with his right hand he quickly moved down to peck her lips. “I missed you too.” He replied, feigning hesitance in his voice before laughing it off again and walking over to the living room to take a seat on the couch. “I’ve been well. Didn’t go on a trip with my family but I think I saw about everyone as I helped in my dad’s restaurant for two weeks. Even all these cousins I haven’t spoken to in years.”
He crossed his legs at the height of his ankles, looking at her once again and keeping his eyes on her for a while as he thought- ever since they met they hadn’t been apart for a while but I think they although they missed each other a lot the break may have helped them out a little? At least it did him good at first, he needed time for himself- when it wasn’t under bad circumstances like the time they separated before that.
“How was your family holiday? Did you bring any souvenirs? And did you manage to get a little closer with your folks again?” Because that was the whole point, wasn’t it? He was just glad to see she had been getting along with her parents more recently. She was still a little young after all- and now she had no reason anymore to cut them off again. He chuckled as another smile crept up on his lips, and it felt like a permanent one, his eyes forming crescents of joy as he moved his arm around the other’s shoulder- realizing that there wasn’t a single thing for them to worry about anymore.
Her arms finally unravel from around him, a smile still remaining on her lips before her cheeks slightly puff out at the hesitance in his voice. However, with his laughter, she quickly realized that he must have been pretending and playfully rolled her eyes. The girl moved toward the kitchen, fingers pulling open a few cupboards before finding the glasses and grabbing one. She filled it with water to take a long sip while her head moved into a slow nod to indicate she was listening. With the glass now empty, she set it on the sink before walking over to the living room. "Sounds like we both sort of had a family reunion." A small laugh came from her, "What was it like working at your dad's restaurant?"
She moved to take a seat next to him, head resting against his shoulder while fingers meddled with the hem of her shirt. For a moment, she stayed silent while he inquired about the vacation. "It was fun, even though we were just home for most of the trip. Near the end though, we visited the beach and even went fishing. But I didn't buy any souvenirs, since it didn't really cross my mind— I did take a lot of pictures though." A bright smile curved her lips and she spared a glance over to her suitcase standing by the bookshelf, "I'd show you, but the cameras are all the way over there and I don't want to move."
Although she was glad to be home, her happy mood was soon starting to be overcome with the exhaustion she felt. Her feet had been aching from standing and walking all day so all she wanted to do now was just rest. "I'm gonna be absolutely lazy for the rest of the day." With her words, she nestled closer to him, arms wrapping loosely around his torso and her voice becoming softer than before. "Have you eaten today?" Even though she looked just about ready to sleep, she continued talking to keep herself alert and awake.

The first week or so without Sohee felt rather strange- he didn’t have any major projects to spend his time working on unlike during the months they did spend together. In the beginning he was glad to have a little time for himself, he had been able to do the things he normally couldn’t find time for but after a while all the reading and music got boring, and the small projects weren’t enough to fill up his days so he decided that he would spend a little time with his family as well.
Two weeks. Two whole weeks of helping his dad in his restaurant, serving people at some days but mostly helping in the kitchen- he may have watched dishes at first but Sohee would be surprised to see that maybe soon he would be the one preparing dinner instead of her. Those two weeks passed rather quickly though, and he was glad he got in touch with his parents a little more. He had now been home for a few days already, and hadn’t heard from Sohee in a while.
Not expecting her to come home anytime soon, he spend the entire morning in bed and only got out just before noon, changing into somewhat decent clothing and pouring himself a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette for breakfast, and just finishing cleaning up when he heard the door open and then he heard her voice calling out his name. “Sohee!” He replied in surprise, running over to the door to check if it was really her. And it was. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her body close to his as a bright smile began to tug at the corners of his lips, complimenting his happy eyes as he pulled her inside and pressed his lips onto her forehead. “Welcome home.”
It was still a bit odd for the girl to walk into a new apartment, dark eyes slowly adjusting to the sight of the wooden floors and matching furnishings. She was still so used to stepping into a smaller apartment and seeing the kitchen from the door, that each time she enters through their new place, she finds herself blinking in slight surprise. That's just what happens to her right now while she scans the room, and she could only hope that in time she would get used to the sight of walking in a newer place. For now, she would just have to deal with the mess of thoughts and mustered up a content smile while she tugged at the luggage behind her.
Pressing one of her hands to the wall, she was using it to balance while attempting to pull off her shoes, but before she could even slip her other foot out, Jaewook was standing in front of her. She smiled bright at his presence, more than happy to be wrapped around his arms again as she snuggled into his chest. "I missed you so much." Carelessly, she stepped out of the other shoe before being pulled further into the apartment and she doesn't let go if him at all. A laugh escaped her lips while she practically almost tripped, but steadied herself, glancing up at the male with a happy smile. "How have you been, stranger?"
Excitement mingled with a flurry of happy motions visibly shifted her features as she watched him. It seemed like it was an eternity ago since they had talked face to face or even just talked entirely. Her family vacation had drawn out much longer than she ever intended it to, and next time, she was definitely going to have to drag him along with them.

Weeks had passed by rather slowly while Sohee was out of the city, but she was glad to have taken some time to go on vacation with her parents. It had been far too long since they had properly been together. However, she would be lying if she said that she wasn't happier to finally be heading home. It seemed like it was forever ago since she had last seen the familiar streets of Hongdae and finally being in the life-filled streets brought a happy smile to her lips.
Dark hues followed the fast scenery passing by, sitting comfortably on the back of a taxi and instructing the driver on where her new apartment was. Typically, she would have called Jaewook to pick her up, but she wasn't sure if he had any schedules.
Plus, she just really wanted to surprise him.
"You can park here." She alerted the driver where he could stop, walking out of the car and to the trunk to retrieve her things. A smile formed on her lips as she thanked him, her head dipping forward slightly before she turns to walk inside. Steps are taken down a familiar, but still foreign hallway, and she bites down her bottom lip as she pressed the code to unlock the door, pushing the door to take a few steps inside. "Jaewook? I'm home."
