This is a game I've been making, Black Cat Book Club, and it's a special one for me.

It's about having a chill experience, immersed in a little library full of secrets and helping a goofy black cat study magic!

It's also a desktop companion type of game, so you can place it anywhere and watch while you work or chill, check on the cat from time to time and give them a new book to read. Each book will reveal mysteries that will help your feline friend climb higher shelves, study even more ancient, and sometimes forbidden, knowledge and eventually learn to cast spells, brew potions and make gold with alchemy.

You can customize your cat and the library with a variety of fur colors, accessories, nook decorations and paraphernalia.

The tilt works! I love it, it gives a nice sense of depth to the scene which would otherwise feel flat. Oh, you can ear the ambient sounds playing in the background. As for the title, it will be something like SOUND SCENE: ...

I LOVE surreal collages made with vintage photos and I also LOVE nature noises, asmr and ambient sounds.

Last weekend I made a simple android app prototype with the W.I.P title TATEBANKO NOISES which is described by these two things I really enjoy. A diorama made with vintage pics (similar to a tatebanko piece of art) in which every layer has a sound/noise.

I can move through the layers and change a piece individually: it basically allows me to compose the perfect ensemble of noises I want to relax to at that moment. It’s really simple and I needed something like this, so I think I will polish this little project and make something good of it.

Of course, I hope there is someone out there who was itching for a 3D collage soundscape generator… ok this should be the title Bye, Francesco

I just started a little game about cats, dungeons and pixel art!

Someone might have noticed how much I am obsessed with castles and the concept for this game hit me when I heard the screech of a cat in the dark while thinking about them, as I usually do, you know. I am not going to say everything yet, I am still figuring it out, but the idea is to roam into pitch dark dungeons inhabited by cats and perhaps other animals... NO, we are not going to fight them, you monsters!

Oh, I miss my Castle so much

I hope you dear fantasy castle building lovers (?) out there can forgive me for this lack of ... everything related to this project. It really pains me to stay away from my virtual rooms for so long!

Beside ‘real’ work, I have been busy with a very fun game dev workshop and I will definitely share more about this game too (now in prototype phase): we were invited to present it at the biggest geek festival in my area!

So, this project is NOT dead: in fact, I have a lot of plans.

I was also thinking about introducing more gameplay elements to it: make it closer to a point&click adventure game or an escape room perhaps, even though I fear it would change the core of the project which is about building spaces, writing ideas etc.

I would really appreciate any suggestion at this moment, what do you think?

MEMORY CASTLE: UI AND MORE

I’ve been meaning to work on the User Interface for a long time and finally managed to put together something I can be satisfied with for now. They still need some simple animation and perhaps color but I’d rather have them simple and versatile.

Another nice little feature I recently implemented is the possibility to change floor, ceiling and wall materials: the same room can look and feel quite different if you use wood instead of limestone for example.

Also, I promise I am working on the second room, which will be a big hallway full of niches and places where you can hide your stories! See you next time, stay tuned!

This is the simple way people can place a new item and write something which is attached to it.  In the future there will be more option, perhaps we will be able to add images and videos to items!
