I want Lance jumping off the platform before it's even landed running to his brothers and sisters and they break through the barricade.

I want Sam holt swining his wife around in the biggest, most romantic way possible while his children look on with giant grins on their faces.

I want Keith smiling happily for his friends because they've been reunited with their loved ones.

I want Lance pulling him with him and introducing him to his family and steamrolling over any objections from anyone about separating the group at all.

That Fantasy AU was originally supposed to be Shidge, so here’s the Shidge bits:

They get to the tower and Lance is like “hey Pidge you can climb it” and she’s like “why do I have to get the prince” and Keith says he’d climb it but they’re currently being attacked by orcs and now’s really not the time to discuss this.

So she’s tiny and climbs the tower and gets into the room. She pushes herself through the window with an “oumf” and moves to the curtained bed…where she reads a note that says “I escaped. - Prince Shiro, First of His Name, Knight of Angela and Heir to the Throne” And Pidge cusses really loudly bc the Prince of Angela is really getting on her nerves.

She climbs down and carries on a convo with the boys as they fight. Keith leaps onto his horse and scoops her up and Lance and Hunk grab a second horse and they leave. A few towns over, they stop at a tavern for the night and hear a rumor about a mysterious man that showed up half-dead and the witch that’s taking care of him. Low and behold, it’s Shiro!

Pidge: Are you *looks at smudged writing* Pronce Shido, First of His Naoime, Knight of Angelica and Hair to the Throng?

Shiro finds out that Pidge went to save him and Keith jokes that, by the custom of their land, Pidge is now owed Shiro’s hand. Shiro pauses for a moment because that’s usually only for princesses, but he doesn’t see any flaw in the logic. So he turns to Pidge, gets down on one knee, and promises her his hand in marriage. Hunk and Lance hold back tears, it’s so sweet (but then make fun of their friend later). Pidge decides to stick a pin in the matter.

So the next Shidge moment occurs after the Knights meet Allura. They go to fetch the weapons and Shiro and Pidge go together. They have to be on the move so they must be back at a designated tavern within two days or else the gang is moving on without them. So they set off and find this mysterious ferryman shrouded in cloaks and go to this secret beautiful spring in the woods. They walk right past the fountain of youth. Shiro makes a comment and Pidge remarks that clearly she’s already drank of the fountain considering that she’s 19 and looks younger. Shiro laughs and they find a hidden cave and Pidge goes in to get her weapons. On the way back, Shiro comments that he’s serious about the engagement and more than happy to marry Pidge. Pidge laughs and says his dad will be disappointed. Shiro rolls his eyes and says his dad would be he’s passed (Pidge feels bad but Shiro’s dad was a jerk). Shiro says his aunt currently serves as queen and she’d be more than happy to marry the knight and his savior.

Then back at the tavern they get rooms but it turns out that there weren’t enough left. Allura and Coran each get their own room. Lance and Hunk share one, and they tell Shiro and Pidge that since they’re engaged they can share a room. Pidge is unhappy because she usually gets her own room, but she deals with it. But then, as a result, Shiro walks in while she’s changing and sees the bandages over her chest. And she thinks he’s going to be mad she lied about her gender, but he’s really just concerned with the bandages hurting her. When Allura finds out (through the mice, who adore Pidge) she immediately finds Pidge better clothes.

Bonus: *Hunk:* Did you guys, like, see any weird objects while getting your weapons? Because when I went to get my axe I found this cool cup and it’s now my drinking cup *holds up the Holy Grail*

Lotor hating Shiro. Lotor hating Shiro with a burning passion. The team never talks about it, they all individually reach their own conclusions. Most of them accept that Lotor hates Shiro for some convoluted reason relating to the Black Lion and Zarkon. It becomes a fact. Space is cold. Lotor hates Shiro. Lotor doesn’t just hate Shiro, he goes out of his way to piss Shiro off. He eggs him on, ensures that Shiro always gets stuck in the worst position during their skirmishes. He even leaves taunts written in obscure places all over the universe - places he knows the paladins will go to. It drives Shiro nuts. He has no idea why Lotor hates him. Shiro tries to be nice to people, he tells himself that there’s no valid reason behind Lotor’s hate. But it bugs him. He starts voicing his concerns. The rest of the team just shakes their heads and says to let it be. It is what it is. And then Team Voltron captures Lotor. He’s defeated. The evil purple elf alien is sitting in a cell, complaining about “outdated Altean technology” and Shiro approaches him. He wants to know. He needs to know. Why does Lotor hate him so much? He asks. Lotor looks him straight in the eye and says it’s because he’s courting the green paladin. Shiro’s face goes red. He can’t seem to find a proper response. He takes a deep breath and asks Lotor where he got that idea. Lotor says he asked the green one if she was interested in a relationship. When? Shiro asks. Lotor says it was during a battle. That the green paladin told him she was dating Shiro. Shiro doesn’t believe him. He doesn’t react at first. And then he yells “All this time you’ve hated me over that?!” Wild laughter fills the room from the comms. Pidge’s laughter. Shiro takes a deep breath and walks out of the room. He finds Pidge on the floor, watching Lotor’s cell through a monitor. She can’t catch her breath. When she finally stops laughing and is able to breath, Shiro asks - with a straight face - a single question: Is this your way of asking for a date? It’s Pidge’s turn to be red.

Fracture

She can feel him slipping. The fracture in his shields only for a split second, the lag time for the barrier to fully form around him. It was enough, enough for a round from an assault rifle to sneak passed. The biotic blue in his eyes fades quickly, and she’s left staring into amber eyes the color of good aged whiskey. There isn’t any shock in them, just a quiet kind of acceptance as she slaps medigel over medigel in a desperate attempt to stop the fucking bleeding. She listens as Liara finishes off the mercs with a powerful biotic warp, even as she props him up against that overturned crate she was using as cover. He winces as he’s moved, blood pooling on the dirt encrusted cement floor of the warehouse. It’s pooling faster than it should, and terror begins to creep in as his breathing gets shallow.
