I feel like I’ve said something like this before but I’ll say it again: if AI continues to rise in terms of “creativity” and “artwork” I’m pretty sure a time will come when the best thing you can have is authenticity. There will be people who either never jumped on the AI bandwagon or who did and got tired of it, and those people will look for authentic artwork. I think the best thing anyone can do is actually take the time NOW to learn how to create whatever artistic medium inspires you. Start learning how to draw, start learning how to edit screenshots, start learning how to create with your own hands and mind and knowledge. That authentic, 100% human made work may be highly valuable someday.

And you’ll feel so much more fulfilled for having built your knowledge and skill up naturally! I started teaching myself digital art (drawing with an old ass iPad and procreate) in 2020. I’m still learning, but the progress I’ve made from when I started to now is so satisfying. One of the few things I’ve done for myself that I can be proud of.
