fourandsix is a company that detects image manipulation for mostly forensic purposes.  lauren margolis talked about them in her article for photoshelter, "how to determine the authenticity of a photograph."

interesting because it approaches in a photograph what many architects would attempt to show with a rendering.  the way the light plays across the broad front parts of the house and illuminates parts of the interior, the way the shadows are kept short by the angle at which the house is viewed, and the way the house's context is shown off without overpowering the house itself all work to the design's favor.

saw this on instagram's tumblr page.  they got it from @vonvintage.

i love it for several reasons.  i love that my students might see a beautiful hasselblad and fall in love.  but mostly i love that they get to see what a lens with hyperfocal distance indicators looks like.

This is a little something from a project we’ve been cultivating for a little while now. We’re pretty proud of how it’s shaping out.

It’s a double exposure created in Photoshop (not in-camera) of a medium format shot from last winter and a digital shot taken this summer in Cape Cod.
