The Nara slouched comfortably back in a soft leather chair, glancing to a mirror pinned on the wall. His hair had grown out considerably, and though it may not be recognised by many others due to how it was tied up, Shikamaru was insistent on at least having it trimmed. Sakura was a medic, and her delicate hands proved efficient in the most precise of movements: the perfect candidate to treat his hair.

Through the reflection of a mirror, his dark orbs met Sakura’s.

“Not too short, alright?” Shikamaru had kept his hair exactly the same throughout his whole life, and he didn’t plan on changing that now. If a disaster were to happen to his hair, it was likely that he wouldn’t allow himself to be seen for days – weeks, possibly.

❧ - Shikamaru's dark hues followed the reflection of her fingers in the mirror. A few of his black locks were poised in her grip, and though it were a little shorter than he might have preferred, he had trust that Sakura would do a good job of it. His eyes met her own through the mirror, and he smiled in confirmation.

"That looks like it should be enough, thanks," he said before continuing "You've cut other peoples' hair too, huh?" For some reason he wasn't all that surprised, since Sakura had a motherly nature about her and she was quite the talent in all fields. Shikamaru's shoulders relaxed against the chair, loosening up a little as he gazed to his dark locks in the mirror's reflection..
