i've always had a problem with any indication being made that Sirius raised or was like a third parent to Regulus cause it's so unrealistic

and i dont mean in the sense of an older sibling having to step up when it comes to their younger siblings but in the sense that Sirius and Regulus have like 2 year between them tops (most people hc around 10 - 18 months depending on when you think Regulus' birthday is)

To put it into context, the age gap between me and my sisters is 18 months and i do not remember their first steps, i don't remember meeting them, i never had to teach them to ride a bike, they were doing it all besides me. And yes, they're still my little sisters and i still great them as such but that doesn't change the fact that we had the same childhood. We played together, we learnt together, the only difference was that for basics things i would learn like just before they did.

If you want to have a sibling relationship where the eldest kid is rising their younger sibling you have a better chance of getting it with the Black sisters or the Evans sisters because they actually have some sort of age gap
