The mission of Mental Image is to provide and facilitate the creation/vision of fellow influenced minds that can not completely bring their ideas, visions, and/or expressions in the form of an artistic image. “L’amour” by @eago.mentalimage • • Please take time to examine the drawing, reflect on what meaning you find. Then take a look at what the artist has to say. Description: “Amour, translates to love in French. The word amour in English means: (n.) a usually illicit love affair; lover. The meaning behind this artistic expression is characterized by a frog sitting in a stream, with one hand upon a glass casing with a human heart within it. This frog’s focus for a heart represents the human condition to desire love. Love is the driving force; that which fuels the daily motivation to go on, to persevere. To the right of the frog in the top right corner there is a woman laying on her back. Le frog would like this heart so that he may genuinely give/share love with the woman, though he is only a frog... and frogs can’t open casings nor attain the human heart. Without this heart it would be love in vain, simply lust. The main focus and idea I ( @eago.mentalimage ) wanted to express is that genuine love is amazing, universal, and ultimate. We all love something, someone, or many of the two. Reflection is needed to ascertain whether this love one has is positive or negative; healthy or unhealthy. True love makes you feel complete, right at home. Anything less will leave you with a void, always searching; an endless path. With that said, I must say; when you have some time and space, reflect upon that which you love. Don’t love in vain, and if so, change it. For we all breathe in the same air, so long as this breath of life thrives, change is always possible.
