This is your daily reminder that voice actors, actors or people who happen to be famous are NOT YOUR FRIENDS!!!
They are not someone you should attack, send death threats, confess your love too, idolize, etc etc etc
They ARE REAL PEOPLE. (Unless they’re actually a piece of sh#t, then be all means, expose them)
But PLEASE, do not go contacting these people, confessing your love for them, stalking them, etc.
The voice actor of Hazel from “Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish”, has been getting private DMs of a crazed fan who is utterly OBSESSED with the character Hazel (a child, btw) and has sent multiple disturbing messages to the Voice Actress, claiming hate to them, sending death threats and overall being an awful person and creep.
No person should have to go through this. I am SICK and tired of people who claim they “love said famous person and their work” and then go and do this crap.
You can love a character. You can love and appreciate the person who bring them to life.
BUT DO NOT DO STUFF LIKE THIS!!! Creators and artists should NOT be treated like this!
They owe you nothing. You are NOT their friend. You are another fan who supports their work.
You do NOT go and do this. I’ve seen this happened too many times.
Emirichu went through something similar back then when a fan kept getting aggressive due to her not answering their private DMs.
GooseWorks was bullied off of Reddit because fans were mad with how she’s handling her OWN SHOW and now has made it clear that she wishes to not interact with people on the internet and maybe even in person because people are DELUSIONAL!
You guys don’t remember what happens when fans get too obsessed???
You don’t remember that singer who was killed at a meet and greet because a fan was obsessed with her years ago?!
What about the guy who did a mass shooting because he was obsessed with Ember from Danny Phantom???
Micheal was asked by a MINOR FAN to MARRY THEM at a TADC meeting!
Some of the VAs from TSAMS themselves have been shipped with MINOR FANS over on TikTok!
Enough is enough! These are real people! And it is NOT fair to them.
Treat them with respect. With kindness. You can admire and tell them you appreciate them if you get the chance.
But be appropriate about it. Do not be weird, creepy, flirty, possessive, etc.
Keep a professional distance. They are human. They deserve respect.
