A reverence for cowboy culture is making an undeniable resurgence in the Western zeitgeist, and as someone whose sweetest childhood memories revolve around horses and livestock, l've always resonated with those themes and motifs. This piece attempts to pay homage to the origin of ranching and wrangling traditions in America: Mexican vaquero culture. The American rodeo has its roots in Charreria, the national sport of Mexico, which is depicted in this piece.
