It has been very long since I had last written an actual journal entry inside this book Xylo'zol gifted me. So much has happened since last August.
The fourth war has officially ended, and a month or two has passed. Now an Old God has broken free of its prison and threatens our home. I have made friend with Horde.
My world feels so incredibly confusing right now. I have just recently returned from battling the Old God's corruption in Uldum where I healed Horde and Alliance alike. I met Aelenicus Sunblade, or Aelen, as he preferred to be addressed - he is a very... Headstrong Sin'dorei paladin who is nearly as tall as some Kaldorei. I had met and befriended Gooldaro Chainbreaker, an orc who actually saved my life.
As we had been trying to break through Amathet lines to try and gain access to Uldum two groups snuck behind enemy lines as the battle began so that the Amathet were distracted. One group, my group, was Alliance. The other was lead by Gooldaro, the Horde.
Us Alliance took the Northern Array which Amathet priests were channeling massive beams of destructive energy from and turned it against our enemy. The Horde did the same - but as I was told Gooldaro ordered an orc warlord, Orgaz Wyrmsplitter, to use the array and fire upon the enemy as well. The murderous brute nearly fired at the Northern Array to ensure the Amathet could not use it in case us Alliance had failed, without knowing for sure what had been happening. He didn't care if a handful of Alliance happened to get obliterated in the process.
Gooldaro managed to beat the Warlord down and had him in chains.
It was heartbreaking to see my Alliance kin spit on Gooldaro once he told them all of those events. I thanked him for what he did and did my best, with the help of a few others, to console him.
In the last few days I met a human arcanist who continually got badly wounded... Even as his physical wounds were healed I could tell there was severe damage to his mind and heart. I pulled him aside and sang to him a song my mother would sing me as a child: Endel'ethil, or Breathless. I admit I used some magic to turn my voice into a blessing to help raise his spirits.
I think it worked in a way - but not how I had expected it to. He had caught feelings for me.
It is funny that he did -- he had actually drawn a sword a day or two before this and threatened to kill me as I was trying to help one of his comrades.
I could not hold it against him... He turned out to be so sweet. I think I have a weakness for people who on the outside who are stoic and can show a strong face but then whose rigid exterior melts away they turn into purring kittens.
I do not understand how this happened... But we are partners now and I have invited him to attend the ceremony in which I receive my markings.
Min'da, An'da. I am receiving my markings.
