Really? God⦠thereās already been deaths? Thatās so⦠well, so tragic. But Iām sure weāve got the technology in order to figure out the environment. That may be one problem, but the Engineers.. I mean, they made us. Wouldnāt they want to help us?
Yeah, two. They were extremely upsetting, but we're still here so I guess they weren't so bad within the grand scheme of things? Which is kind of frightening to think about. Well... I wouldn't have the slightest idea, really. You'd expect that they would, but I guess we really can't assume when it comes to ancient otherworldly beings.
Last outing? Youāll have to refresh me ā Iām guessing I was either in cryosleep, or someone managed to forget me? I refuse to believe the engineers can be as bad as everyone says. I mean⦠theyāre our creators.
I was sent after one of the synthetics and then almost caught an oncoming storm so I don't know the specifics, but there was an explosion and another death as well as a handful of other injuries. I'd say that was enough for at least a month. As for the Engineers, well... I don't know. I really don't.Ā
Someone tell me why weāre not outside. Or when weāre going outside. Or if they can take me outside?Ā Please.
I think that some of us are still trying to get back on our feet after our last outing.
This has been fun.
Apollo - yes, heās just fine. His leg needed some work, but heās perfectly alright. My boys are tough.
Yeah, he did a pretty good job of hanging in mid-air while whatever life synthetics have flashed before his eyes.
This has been fun.
Itās fine, I donāt think the paperwork will mind if I take a break. So, are you planning to go to the karaoke thing?
Until it develops a mind of its own, probably not.
There's a karaoke thing? When did that memo go out?
This has been fun.
Slowly, but itās going. Routine maintenance on the Talons takes priority for the most part.
The one that I managed to save, the fourth one-- is he... it still in one piece?
This has been fun.
I managed to track down a cup.Ā
And some tea, so Iām appropriately caffeinated.Ā
Fantastic then. How's all that research going? It's been pretty quiet which is a blessing considering everything that's gone on.
This has been fun.
The simple truth of it is that if you have pain issues, they should immediately go to the good doctor - and I should immediately go to mess, because I clearly need that cup of coffee.
Yeah, yeah, the good doctor fixed me up, so I'm good now. Did you ever snag that coffee or is that still a work in progress?
This has been fun.
Itās really no problem. Anything else I can help with?
Should I make something up to distract you some more? I can do that.
This has been fun.
You are remarkably sarcastic and I havenāt had my coffee yet.
You caught me at a bad time. Pain equals an unhappy me, which I'm sure is pretty understandable. I'm normally like ten times friendlier and, as just a side note, you're probably going to need to have consumed a bit of caffeine before talking to me at all.
This has been fun.
Iām sure he would tell you if he did or not, if you just asked.
You mean he can do that?Ā
This has been fun.
A much appreciated favor, I assure you. And itās most likely itās an allergic reaction to some of the compounds used. Iāll give you a spray to put on the worst of the affected areas, it should clear up in no time!
Yeah, I figured. Not everyone can go unscathed after one of those, I guess. Thanks a bunch, doc. I really do appreciate it.
This has been fun.
So Sterling got his claws into you. That irradiated bastard. He gave you the all-clear, though?
ā¦Long time no see, Martell. Sucks about your skin, butā I mean, Iām glad weāre standing here talking about radiation showers instead of, you know. The alternative.
Wait, was he going around doing this to people? Oh, yeah, he did. I figured I was alright but you never really do until you've got the okay from one of the scientists, right?
It has been quite awhile, hasn't it? How've you been? Have you been released from your cell? I'm a little delayed about things if you haven't noticed. Oh, yeah, for sure, I'm glad I'm sickness free and still able to carry on a conversation.
This has been fun.
Itās no problem, really. Thereās not much to be doing but paperwork. Now, did the pain start before or after the decontamination?
Paperwork? I feel like I might actually be doing you a favor by being a distraction. After the decontamination. I felt perfectly fine before.
