Ah am Mérida, Princess o' DunBroch.
As Princess to da land, ah have certain duties, responsibilities, expectations. My whole life is planned out, until the day I become like me mum..
She's in charge of every single day of mah life, much to mah displeasure.
I have mah three wee little devils Hammish, Hubert, and Harris. Ah have a horse named Angus.
I was sent to this place ta "Learn how ta be a proper princess" I am eighteen years old, currently taking year four classes.
I now know...mah fate is what ah can make it to be.

ø 2 : your muse finds out about something horrible their parents have kept from them.
"WHAT?!" Merida cried out, shocked when she heard what her ma was saying to her da.
"Ye were tryin' to marry me off?" She said, dropping herself into a chair at the entrance of her parents' room. How could they? She had just turned 18! "Merida, lass, wait-" "No! Why would ye do that to me?" Merida interrupted her da as her hands started to mess with her hair. That's what she did when she was distressed, anxious, nervous, or bored.. She tugged on her hair, twirling strands around her hand, shaking slightly.
"We thought it would be a proper solution, Merida. Now ye listen to me and listen well. Yer a princess. And one day yer going to be the one that rules over this kingdom! We had to find a proper suitor. Yer lucky yer da talked to me about it." Her ma, Elinor, said to her in a firm voice.
"He convinced me ta let ye make yer own choice. That's why we sent you to the institute, so ye can get a proper education and grow to make yer own choice. Now ye have to deal with it." Elinor finished, resting a hand on Merida's cheek before turning away.
Sitting there for a few more minutes, Merida didn't know what to say or feel, so she simply got up and ran back to her room to pack the rest of her things. She thought that she would enjoy comin' back home for a weekend, but nay.
She didn't plan on coming back home for a while, now.
What are its people like? Hmmm, they are verra much prone ta fightin'.

Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life. When Ah was a wee youngin', my Da bought me a wee bow. Ever since then, Ah fell in love with archery! Ah grew up learnin' how to be a princess but Ah also got to practice with my bow as well.
What was childhood like for you? Complicated.
Was it calm and peaceful or turbulent and traumatic? Ah like ta think that it was a mix of both.
Did you have any childhood friends? Not really.

What stupid things did you do when you were younger? Ah used ta climb all kinds of trees, Ah remember gettin' stuck in one for hours.
Which toys from your childhood have you kept? My plush horse.
Why? What do they mean to you? Ah remember my ma making it for me.

How did you get along with their parents? My da and Ah loved to practice archery, go hunting, explore the woods. My ma and Ah spent most of our time with her trying to teach me how to be a ruler.
What was your birth position in the family (i.e. first, second, third, x-th born; only child; etc.)? Ah am the first born.
What was your family life like? All in all, it was very lovin'.
Are there any black (or white) sheep in the family (including you)? Ah assume Ah might be the black sheep.
If so, who are they, and how did they “gain” the position? By bein' a wild child, as my ma says.
The question surprised Hiccup and he faltered, fumbling for words. “Um. Well… I don’t really know to be honest,” he finally said. “I haven’t been here for long.”
"Ah hate it." She muttered, wrinkling her nose as a strand of her hair tickled her chin. "Ah'm Merida." After introducing herself, she tucked her hair away, smiling at him.
