âAs much as I would love to use a stall after you, I just need a towel.â
"The ninja turtle is significantly less cool, in my opinion," he said, grinning at him. He watched him talk and smiled gently. "She knew all about that stuff. When I was little, I used to have her recite the countries to me, so now I can recite all the countries in the world," he said, running his fingers through his hair. He smiled at the comment, looking at him sweetly. "If you like my marks and artwork, you should see my tattoos and scars," he said, "I've never met anyone like you before, either, honestly." He felt good about this, and it was rare that he felt good about, well, anything. He pulled his sleeve up on his right arm, the one without the mark, revealing the scarification he'd had done of a perfect circle. "You can touch it," he said, "It feels really cool."
"You know, I wouldn't doubt that if I didn't know you."
"You're fine, I know what my back looks like," he said, laughing softly, "I'm glad you like them."
"Jesus," he mumbled, looking at him, "I'm sorry, mate."
ââBoth.ââ Thomas said pouring the beverage in his cup. ââMy mother decided to date this guyâŠââ He sighed sipping on his drink. ââheâs bad, man.ââ
âHow bad?âÂ
Thomas scratched the back of his head. ââFamilyâs giving me a headache.ââ He said not wanting to explain. ââHow about you?ââ He asked. ââYou seem great.ââ
âI am great, yeah, everythingâs pretty okay,â he said, shrugging slightly. âYou wanna talk about your family or have me let you drink?â
ââBottoms up.ââ Thomas said gulping his drink down. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and looked at the other person. ââSo, what do you want?ââ
Meridian chuckled. âIâm good, actually,â he said, nudging the man. âHad a problem lately?â
âUh Iâm your fave ? You never told me that before, thanks.ââ
âWell, everyoneâs my fave--itâs assumptive.â
âOops, sorry Meridian. I thought you were someone else. Whatâs up ?ââ
âJust wanted to hang, got a little bored, figured I could chill with my fave for a bit.â
âOh you are in my room.. I hope you have an explanation âcause Iâve had a really rough day and seeing a stranger in my room is not very helpful at the moment.ââ
âStranger? Damn, Natara,â he said, leaning against her door.
Skye looked up at him, smiling when she heard his words. âGood. Itâd be awkward if you didnât, right?â
âYouâre correct,â he said, chuckling.
âYou got it.â The girl nodded. âI donât trust humans. I donât even trust daemons but, yâknow â our kind is our kind. I refuse to think badly of abominations until proven wrong. We got enough people against us.â
âThatâs exactly how I feel,â he said, pulling her close again.
âOf course youâd say that. And yeah, are you surprised?â
âI never talk about sex, let me have that one,â he whined, âAnd yeah, a little. Most of us donât trust easy.â
âYou wouldnât look better bleeding, doesnât complement your eyes. But good, I need someone I like and can actually trust to keep him company.â
âBruises look nice on me, hickeys and whatnot, but not blood. And wow, Iâm glad you trust me.â
âDepends. Are you one of the pranksters that keep leaving me unwanted presents?â
âNo, Iâm already screwed because Iâm an abomination, I wouldnât screw myself further.â
Reaching out blindly, Leon waved his hand around until it came into contact with Meridianâs arm. He then gave a small tug and pointed at one of the drawings, âyou did this?â While he himself couldnât draw a straight line, he had an extremely deep appreciation for art. ââ I was named after Leonardo Da Vinci,â he randomly said without prompting. âThese⊠what do they mean?â His eyes then travelled up to the face of the taller male, his brown eyes burning with curiosity. âThis is so cool.â
He smiled at the tug on his arm and shrugged slightly. âMost of it, yeah,â he said, and then nodded, âI figured. I was named after Prime Meridian. My sister was named after Compass Rose. My mom was a cartographer.â He raised an eyebrow at the question and looked back at the walls. âIt depends. Some of them were drunk drawings, others are about people, the list goes on.â He shrugged again and looked back down at him.
